DOGust 1st is more than a birthday.
It is a reminder that many dogs in shelters are waiting for something most pets already have:
a name called with love, a routine they can trust, and a place where they belong.
Shelter dogs may not know the date they were born, but they can still know the day their life changed.
Today, we honour the shelters, foster families, rescue volunteers and adopters who help make that change possible.
For every dog still waiting — may this be the year your story turns towards home.
