We are not what happened to us.
We are not our emotional scars,
Our broken hearts,
Or the wounds life left behind.
Those experiences may shape the surface of who we are, and sometimes they feel like they define us.
But only if we let them.
Beneath all of that, there is something deeper.
Something untouched.
A part of us that existed long before the pain, and will remain long after it.
Our soul doesn't shout. It whispers.
It speaks through our body, through our intuition, through a quiet longing we often can't explain.
When we ignore it, it doesn't disappear. It simply waits.
It waits for us to remember.
To come home to ourselves.
To embrace the small child we once were with the love and compassion we may never have received.
Perhaps healing isn't about becoming someone new.
Perhaps it's about remembering who we've been all along. 🤍
