In a recent catering session, we were learning to follow a recipe safely and accurately, use basic cooking skills, understand why ingredients are used, work hygienically to keep food safe, and learn how cooking links to jobs and future learning.

To make the carrot cake, we preheated the oven and lined a baking tin, then washed, peeled, and grated the carrots. We mixed the sugar, oil, and beaten eggs, added the flour and spices, then folded in the carrots and dried fruit.

The mixture was poured into the tin and baked for 25–30 minutes until cooked. After cooling the cake, we mixed the topping and spread it over the cake when it was completely cold, fabulous work guys 🙌👍

Our YP spent time on IXL for morning work, great concentration throughout the session, well done.

A recent boxing session as part of the enrichment for our young people, the young people are loving the boxing sessions.

Alongside the physical and health benefits boxing brings it also assists with emotional control and helps build resilience and confidence in our young people 🥊😊

Our young person worked so carefully, slotting each of the pieces together perfectly, and stayed focused.

Great patience and great results 😀
