Yoga asana can be fun, this one some of my students call ‘cheesy pasta’ 😂
You need arm strength, hip flexibility, core strength, breathwork & a willingness to move past your centre of gravity (scary!) to find balance. Kula studios ethos embodies this as bring fitness & wellness together - with classes focusing on strength, mobility, core control, focus & mental resilience. I am so proud to bring you the next chapter in this beautiful studio!

Yang Yin & yoga Nidra is a deeply nourishing class, it helps you to reset for the week. Physically it stretches out the muscles whether you have been running, in the gym or hunched over a laptop. Mentally it offers a quieter more meditative space to listen inwards & catch up from the busy & heated week.

*NEW Flow and Go Run Club 7am Wednesday. Join Naomi at the studio for a warming stretch & intention setting before a mindful 3-5k local 🏃🏼 then back to the studio for a 30 minute recovery stretch & restore yoga class. Worth getting out of bed for in this beautiful weather! 🌞 🙏🏻🏃‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️

💪🏼 Does resistance training help with this pose? Yes & with arm balances in general.
🧘🏼‍♀️ Does Yoga help with strength training? Absolutely, mobility & strength work together for the best results.
🚴🏻‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️ Does yoga aid runners, swimmers & cyclists? Oh yes it really does… but conversely swimming, running & cycling help us in yoga so we don’t overstretch our joints.
🌱 Health & wellbeing is multifaceted: strength + mobility + heart health + mental health + community.
✨I am super excited to be building a new studio offering (behind the scenes) that aims to touch on all of the above so you can add a little of each & do a lot of what you ❤️

👩🏻‍🦰 Personally I like (a lot of) yoga + strength training + TRX + swimming + my community for my wellbeing… but that’s just me, how about you?? Let me know so I can plan!

It’s quite hard to tell what our 🐈‍⬛ Smokey got from my Sound Bath, but he quite liked it I think? He seemed calm and relaxed & he didn’t seem at all agitated by the louder sounds. In fact he was intrigued by the more intense sound of the e crystal bowls. Then he wandered off - very cat like!❤️
It’s easier to note the response of humans, as you can see afterwards they have been totally immersed in the experience. They report that the soothing sounds & vibrations from the singing bowls, gongs, crystal bowls, chimes, drums, percussion etc, promote relaxation, meditation, and well-being. The bring as sense of letting go, of processing our experiences of bringing us home to ourselves.

Next Sound Bath is Friday 5th June 7.30pm I’ll add a 🔗 on stories…
