Heart palpitations are the physical sensation of a pounding, racing, fluttering, or skipped heartbeat. They are the most common symptom of an arrhythmia, which is an umbrella term for an irregular, abnormally fast, or abnormally slow heartbeat.

While many are harmless, if you're noticing frequent or ongoing changes in your heartbeat, we suggest booking a consultant appointment with one of our cardiology experts.

Peak hayfever season is upon us as the grass season has just kicked off. Most of the tree pollen is coming to an end but it's grass that has the longest season from the middle of May until the end of July and it's also the one that most hayfever sufferers in the UK are most allergic to. Symptoms are at their most prominent when it's warm, dry and windy, especially in the evening or the morning.

If you would like your child to be tested for grass or tree pollen (inhalant) or other allergies, our Paediatric Consultant, Dr Nader Elgharably will be happy to see you.

Gallstones are small stones that form in the gallbladder. Most people who have them do not get symptoms. However, if gallstones are causing symptoms, you may need surgery to remove your gallbladder.

Possible symptoms are
➡️sharp, sudden pain in the upper abdomen
➡️indigestion or heartburn
➡️sometimes signs of jaundice - a yellowing in the skin or whites of the eyes.

We have immediate appointments with our expert team of urologists at Kingston Private Health. If you need 'lap chole' surgery (a common, minimally invasive procedure to remove gallstones), they will be able to perform this as soon as required.
