Its a struggle but its worth it…

Getting in shape is never just physical, you have no idea what someone is carrying behind the scenes while they are still choosing to show up.

You do not see the stress that sits in the background, the family pressures, the business worries, the health scares, the sleepless nights, the internal battles that never make it onto social media.

You are not seeing the conversations happening in someone’s own head when doubt creeps in, when confidence dips, when comparison hits, when life feels overwhelming and training becomes the anchor rather than the easy part. It’s not easy, life is not easy but it’s beautiful when you hold your self to standards and do the hard stuff, life gets easier and more rewarding.

It is easy to look at someone’s body, aesthetics and assume the path was smooth, easy but you are only seeing the visible outcome and not the emotional weight, the resilience, the discipline built in hard seasons that had nothing to do with aesthetics and thats why you can’t put a price on health from the inside out.

You genuinely do not know what is happening in other people’s lives, so before deciding it must be easier for them or they are luckier than you, remember that strength is often built in the middle of challenges you will never hear about, and that applies to you as well because the battles you are fighting quietly are shaping you in ways others cannot see 🧡

The biggest legacy you’ll leave isn’t your bank balance.

It’s the standards you live by every day.

The goal isn’t to avoid hard rolls… it’s to build a body that can tolerate them.

If you’re a guy over 40 and training BJJ, stop thinking about just getting more flexible and thinking that will solve everything.

Build strength at your end ranges which will help you become more resilient, and ultimately spend more time on the mats instead of on the sidelines.

Comment “STRONG” and I’ll send you my FREE Stronger for Longer Jiu Jitsu Guide.

1️⃣ You’re not lifting weights.

Strength training is one of the best things you can do for your hormones, muscle mass and long term health. If you’re not giving your body a reason to stay strong, don’t be surprised if your body starts adapting in the wrong direction.

2️⃣ You’re not getting enough sleep.

Most testosterone is produced while you sleep. If you’re regularly getting 5–6 hours a night, you’re making it much harder for your body to recover, perform and function at its best.

3️⃣ You’re carrying too much body fat.

Higher levels of body fat are associated with lower testosterone. Getting leaner through consistent training and nutrition can have a positive impact on your health and hormone profile.

4️⃣ Your diet is poor.

Living on ultra processed foods, constantly dieting, or not eating enough protein and healthy fats can all work against you. Build your diet around quality whole foods first.

5️⃣ You’re constantly stressed.

Chronic stress keeps cortisol elevated, which can negatively affect recovery, sleep and hormone health. You can’t eliminate stress, but you can get better at managing it.

Don’t jump straight onto TRT because someone on social media told you to.

Get your basics right first. Lift weights. Sleep well. Improve your nutrition. Lose excess body fat. Manage your stress.

If you’ve genuinely done all of that, your blood tests still show low testosterone, and you’re experiencing symptoms, then have a proper discussion with a qualified healthcare professional.

If you’re a man over 40 and want help getting the basics right, message me STRONG.

You can’t control everything that affects your sleep. But you can control your bedtime routine, screen time, stress management, breathing, and environment.

For men in their 40s, sleep is paramount for recovery, performance, hormones and feeling your best.

Focus on what you can control. 💪
