The past month has been filled with so many happy moments and so much to be grateful for.

I turned 60 – and what fun it was! Celebrating, laughing, spending time with some of my favourite people and making wonderful memories.
I've also been making the most of a summer in London and everything it has to offer in the summer – enjoying some incredible shows, a fabulous evening at the Hampton Court Palace Festival, and an incredible ballet at the Royal Opera House watching and the incredible perform as well as watching his beautiful daughter Aila perform 🎭🩰🎶

There have been wonderful friendships to celebrate too – especially those that have lasted for decades. The kind where you may not see each other all the time, but when you do, it feels as though no time has passed.

And some very special family moments, including the excitement of Sam and Emma’s engagement and the birth of my great nephew.
Here's to family, friendship, good health and plenty more fun to come.

If you're constantly reaching for another coffee, struggling through the afternoon or waking up tired, your body could be asking for more than just rest.

Your mitochondria are your cells' energy powerhouses and keeping them healthy is essential for energy, resilience and healthy ageing.

Support them by:
🥗 Nourishing your body with colourful, nutrient-rich foods.
🚶 Moving every day to keep your cells active.
😴 Prioritising quality sleep for repair and recovery.
🧘 Taking time to slow down and manage stress.
💧 Staying hydrated and supporting your body's natural detoxification.

These simple habits don't just boost your energy, they help support one of the key Hallmarks of Ageing: healthy mitochondrial function.

💚 Healthy mitochondria. Healthy cells. Healthy ageing.

83g Prawns (uncooked, shells on)
4 Barbecue skewers
30 milliliters Extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt & black pepper (to taste)
1 Head romaine hearts (thinly sliced)
75g Feta cheese (crumbled)
15 milliliters Red Wine Vinegar
1g Fresh dill (chopped)
4g Parsley (chopped)
2 Stalks green onion (thinly sliced)
1 Avocado (sliced)

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Lightly grease the grate.

Thread the prawns onto the skewers.
Brush with half of the oil, and season with salt and pepper.

Grill the skewers for two to three minutes per side until the prawns are pink and cooked through.
Meanwhile, combine the romaine, feta, vinegar, remaining oil, dill, parsley, and green onions in a large bowl. Toss well. Season with salt and pepper.

Top the salad with avocado slices. Divide the grilled shrimp skewers evenly between plates, and enjoy!

Every meal is an opportunity to nourish more than your hunger. It's a chance to nourish your future health.

The food you eat provides the building blocks your cells need to produce energy, repair damage and protect against inflammation. In other words, every bite has the power to influence how you age.

So, what should be on your plate?

🥬 Colourful vegetables – Packed with antioxidants that help protect your cells from damage.

🫐 Berries – Rich in polyphenols that support brain health and healthy ageing.

🥜 Healthy fats – Think olive oil, nuts, seeds and oily fish to nourish your brain and reduce inflammation.

🍗 Quality protein – Essential for maintaining muscle, repairing tissues and supporting healthy ageing.

🌾 Fibre-rich foods – Feed your gut microbiome, support digestion and help keep inflammation in check.

The best part? August is bursting with seasonal produce. Tomatoes, peppers, courgettes, beetroot, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries are all delicious ways to nourish your body.

Remember, healthy ageing doesn't come from one superfood or a perfect diet. It comes from the small choices you make every day.

💚 Feed your cells well today, and they'll look after you tomorrow.

The holidays are full of fun, but they can also leave us feeling tired, out of routine and low on energy.
The good news? You don't need a drastic reset.

I encourage my clients to come back to my Five Pillars of Health:

🥗 Nutrition – Nourish your cells with colourful whole foods, quality protein and healthy fats.
😴 Sleep – Prioritise rest so your body can repair, recover and recharge.
⚡ Energy – Move your body every day to support your mitochondria—your cells' energy powerhouses.
🧘 Self-Care – Calm your nervous system through rest, breathwork or time in nature.
💧 Detox – Support your body's natural detoxification with hydration, fibre and healthy digestion.

These simple daily habits don't just help you feel better today, they also support many of the Hallmarks of Ageing, the biological processes that influence how we age.

Healthy ageing isn't about turning back the clock. It's about giving your body what it needs to stay strong, energised and resilient for years to come.

💚 Reset. Restore. Rebuild.
It all starts with the small choices you make every day.

Science tells us that ageing happens because of a series of changes inside our cells, long before we notice them on the outside.

Researchers call these the 12 Hallmarks of Ageing.

They include things like:
✨ DNA damage
✨ Reduced energy production
✨ Cell ageing (senescent cells)
✨ Chronic inflammation
✨ Gut imbalance
✨ Poor protein recycling
✨ Changes in how our genes function
✨ Less efficient cell communication

These changes can influence how we feel every day—our energy, memory, immunity, recovery, digestion and overall vitality.

The exciting news? Many of these hallmarks are influenced by our lifestyle.

The food we eat, the quality of our sleep, how we manage stress, our movement, our gut health and our exposure to environmental toxins all play a role in how well our cells function as we age.

We can't stop the clock, but we can support our bodies to age more healthily.

Healthy ageing isn't about looking younger.
It's about staying energetic, resilient and well for as long as possible.

💚 Over the coming weeks, I'll be exploring these hallmarks in more detail and sharing simple, evidence-based ways to support them naturally.

Every second, trillions of cells in your body are producing energy, repairing damage and communicating with each other to keep you healthy. As we get older, these processes naturally become less efficient, but how quickly they change is influenced by our daily habits.

When your cells aren't functioning optimally, you may notice:
✨ Lower energy
✨ Brain fog
✨ Slower recovery
✨ More aches and pains
✨ Feeling older than your years

Scientists have identified key biological processes known as the Hallmarks of Ageing. These are the changes that gradually occur within our cells and tissues as we age, influencing how we feel and how well our bodies function.
The exciting news? Many of these hallmarks can be positively influenced through nutrition, sleep, movement, stress management and reducing your toxic load.

Healthy ageing isn't about chasing youth, it's about supporting your body to function at its best for as long as possible.
