Congratulations to everyone who received their A-level results yesterday! 🎉

We’re especially delighted for one young person KCIL supported with his Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Despite difficulties preventing him from completing one part of his German A-level assessment, his performance in the remaining exams was strong enough for him to achieve a grade.

He is now looking forward to spending time in Germany, where he’ll be able to continue developing his German. We’re very proud of what he has achieved and wish him every success with his next adventure.

KCIL supports children and young people—and their families—with managing EHCPs. We currently work with families in Kingston, Richmond and Southwark, but we also provide support to families living in other areas.

If you need help navigating the EHCP process, please get in touch with us.

A truly memorable evening at the Kingston Celebrating Communities Awards. ✨

The evening concluded with a poignant and proud moment as our very own Ann Macfarlane OBE was honoured with the Legacy Award. 🏆

Although Ann is no longer with us, her remarkable dedication, compassion and unwavering commitment to our community continue to inspire us all. This award is a fitting tribute to a life of extraordinary service and an enduring legacy that will never be forgotten.

Have you seen the Disability Pride flag and wondered what the colours mean?

Disability Pride Month takes place every July.

The Disability Pride flag was created by Ann Magill, a disabled writer. The current version was redesigned with the disability community to make it more accessible for people with photosensitivity, seizures and migraines.

The flag’s colours represent different disabled communities, and the diagonal stripes symbolise disabled people cutting across the barriers they face.
