Have your say on the future of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services!

NHS Birmingham, Black Country and Solihull ICB want to hear your views and experiences to help shape the future of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) across Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country.

NEPTS is an NHS-funded service providing planned, non-urgent transport to and from healthcare locations. It supports people with journeys such as outpatient appointments, dialysis, oncology treatment, hospital discharges and transfers between hospitals.

They would like to hear from:
•People who currently use NEPTS
•People who have used NEPTS in the past
•People who support or care for someone who uses NEPTS
•Anyone with experience of the service who has views or ideas about how it could be improved

Your feedback will help to understand what works well, what could work better and what is important to people when using the service.

The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Please share your views by 1 October 2026 ➡️

Today marks the start of Palliative Care Week so we're here to share what exactly is palliative care.

It may be thought that palliative care is only for people at the end of their lives. But this isn't always the case. You can have palliative care alongside cancer treatments that aim to help you live longer. Some treatments can control or reduce symptoms such as pain, nausea and loss of appetite. You may have palliative care at home, in a hospital, at a care home or in a hospice.

Finding out that you or a loved one is receiving palliative care treatment might bring up lots of different emotions. We're sending you a big hug. Please know our support services are here for you.

The new school year is the perfect opportunity to remind your children who walk to school independently about road safety.

Asking teens and tweens to put their phones away can feel like a losing battle. But devices can be a major distraction when it comes to crossing the road.

So, please talk to your child about the dangers and encourage them to put their phone down, take headphones out and look and listen carefully every time they cross a road.
