🌿🐦 Creative Time on Hastings! 🐦🎨

Some of the gents on our Hastings Unit have been busy getting creative and putting their artistic skills to work, painting some lovely bird feeder houses. 🎨🪵

It’s been lovely to see everyone enjoying the painting, choosing their colours and adding their own personal touches to the feeders.

Once finished, they will be sealed with a protective varnish before being placed out in our garden. We can’t wait to see some feathered visitors enjoying them! 🐦❤️

A Delicious Homemade Treat 🍎🥧

This morning, some of our lovely residents on Lakes Unit got busy in the kitchen, preparing fresh apples and rhubarb to make a delicious homemade crumble. 🍎🌿

Their hard work paid off, and this afternoon the crumble was enjoyed as a special snack — served with lashings of warm, creamy custard! 😋💕

This afternoon we’ve been giving some of our lovely ladies a relaxing hand massage, followed by the very important decision of choosing which beautiful nail varnish colour to wear! 💅🌸

This morning, Alan, one of our lovely residents, has been busy helping us get ready for our upcoming Jumble Sale! 🛍️

Alan has been out and about posting leaflets and collecting kind donations for our sale — and along the way, he got to see the cows near Barons Park! 🐄🌳

It’s wonderful to see our residents getting involved, enjoying the fresh air and being part of something that means so much to our home. ❤️

A big thank you to Alan for all his hard work, and to everyone who has donated so far. Your support means the world to us and will help raise money for our Residents Fund. 💕

🏍️ The voting has begun! 🏍️

After the fantastic bike meet on Sunday, our residents have loved talking about all the amazing bikes they saw and sharing their memories and favourite moments from the day. ❤️

Yesterday, our residents began the very important job of voting for their favourite bike! 🗳️🏍️

There were some tough choices, but we can’t wait to see which bike comes out on top! 👀

🏆 The winner will be revealed on Thursday!

🏍️💙 Wheels for Wishes Bike Meet 💙🏍️

What a fantastic day we had at the nursing home as we welcomed the amazing Wheels for Wishes bike group for a special bike meet!

A huge thank you to everyone who brought along their incredible bikes and spent time with our residents. It was wonderful to see the smiles, hear the stories and create some lovely memories together. 🥰

We’re also delighted to have raised over £80 through our ‘Best Bike Competition’! 🏆🏍️ Our residents will have the very important job of judging all the amazing entries tomorrow, so we can crown our winner! 👑

A very special thank you to Lilly from our Domestic Team for getting all of the riders together and helping bring this fantastic day together. ❤️

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all our staff who helped make the event possible, and to all the families who came along to spend the day with their loved ones. Your support and presence made the day even more special. 💕

And finally, a massive thank you to Wheels for Wishes and everyone who attended and supported our event. We truly appreciate you helping us create such a memorable day for our residents. 🏍️💙

We’re excited to announce our nursing home raffle, with some fantastic hampers up for grabs! 🎁✨

And keep your eyes peeled… we may be adding even more hampers to the raffle! 👀🎁

Even better, all money raised will go towards creating more wonderful experiences for our residents, helping to fund future activities, entertainment and trips out. 🚌💚

🌿🍎 A lovely day in our garden! 🍎🌿

Our residents have been enjoying time outdoors, picking fresh fruit from our beautiful gardens — including cooking apples, plums and figs. 🍏

After gathering the fruit, they voted together and decided it would be perfect for a traditional fruit crumble! 🥧

We’re so lucky to have such wonderful gardens for everyone to enjoy throughout the seasons. ☀️💚

🌸Creativity, Conversation & Connection 🎨

Some of our residents visited the Connexions Unit and enjoyed a lovely group painting session, creating beautiful pictures of colourful flowers in vases. 🌷🖌️

It was also a wonderful opportunity to introduce different residents to one another, encouraging new friendships, conversation and connection. As they painted, residents enjoyed chatting, sharing stories and discovering a shared love of music. 🎶💕

Activities like this provide more than just creativity — they create meaningful moments of social interaction, reminiscence and togetherness, helping our residents feel connected and valued💕
