Have you ever heard of the Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing or The Big Guide? 5️⃣
The Public Health Agency encourage us all to follow the following 5 steps in order to live fuller and happier lives:
🤝 CONNECT - Connect with the people around you - family, friends, colleagues and neighbours, at home, work, school or even in your local community.
🤸♀️ BE ACTIVE - Go for a walk or run, cycle, play a game, do the gardening or even dance. Exercising makes you feel good. Most importantly, find an activity you enjoy; one that suits your level of mobility and fitness.
👀 TAKE NOTICE - Stop, pause and take a moment to look around you. What can you see, feel, smell or even taste? Reflecting on your experiences will help you appreciate what matters to you.
🧠 KEEP LEARNING - Don't be afraid to try something new, rediscover an old hobby, sign up for a course or simply set a challenge you will enjoy.
💕 GIVE - Do something nice for a friend or a random act of kindness. Thank someone, smile, volunteer your time or consider joining a community group.
Here at Peninsula Healthy Living we can help with all these steps. From our amazing physical classes to our holistic and wellbeing groups to our volunteering opportunities we can cover all 5 steps to help you improve your wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
The Big Guide is your one stop shop full of all the information, ideas and resources you need to discover where and when you can start your Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing journey. It is available both as a hard copy (from our office) and as a digital version if you follow the link below:
