Lords of the Rings 🥄 💍

Our amazing Wee Group returned today and what a session we had with the amazing Tracey, showing us all how to make necklaces and rings from spoons. 😲

After our catch up and welcoming of our 4 new members, everyone had an absolute ball bending, filing and fitting their new beautiful pieces of jewelry. 💍

Our Wee Group is a peer support programme for those living with long term health conditions. and honestly could not be filled with a better bunch of people, we have some fabulous sessions planned for the coming months and if you would like to join please give me a call on 07519379428.

Delivered Fresh to their Door 🥕

A few of our incredible Rusty Spades called in today to pick some fresh leeks, onions, chard, lettuce and tomatoes and deliver them straight to our amazing friends The Warehouse Newtownards.

We know Dawn will make good use of them in her fabulous cooking 💕

Another great example of community organisations working together to help those who need it most.

Peaceful Portavogie 🫶

After a few windy days our amazing Monday walkers managed to get a reasonably calm morning in Portavogie for their weekly walk and talk.

A huge well done to all the ladies, including our new staff member Ciara, for getting out and about this morning. 👏

Next Monday morning we will be meeting at 10am in Cloughey Beach car park, so why not throw your trainers on and join us?

Is there a better way to start the week? 👟

Have you ever heard of the Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing or The Big Guide? 5️⃣

The Public Health Agency encourage us all to follow the following 5 steps in order to live fuller and happier lives:

🤝 CONNECT - Connect with the people around you - family, friends, colleagues and neighbours, at home, work, school or even in your local community.
🤸‍♀️ BE ACTIVE - Go for a walk or run, cycle, play a game, do the gardening or even dance. Exercising makes you feel good. Most importantly, find an activity you enjoy; one that suits your level of mobility and fitness.
👀 TAKE NOTICE - Stop, pause and take a moment to look around you. What can you see, feel, smell or even taste? Reflecting on your experiences will help you appreciate what matters to you.
🧠 KEEP LEARNING - Don't be afraid to try something new, rediscover an old hobby, sign up for a course or simply set a challenge you will enjoy.
💕 GIVE - Do something nice for a friend or a random act of kindness. Thank someone, smile, volunteer your time or consider joining a community group.

Here at Peninsula Healthy Living we can help with all these steps. From our amazing physical classes to our holistic and wellbeing groups to our volunteering opportunities we can cover all 5 steps to help you improve your wellbeing, both physically and mentally.

The Big Guide is your one stop shop full of all the information, ideas and resources you need to discover where and when you can start your Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing journey. It is available both as a hard copy (from our office) and as a digital version if you follow the link below:

So have a peruse through and see what will work for you and if there is anything you would like us to bring to PHLP let us know and lets all take the first steps to improve our wellbeing. 👟
