When it’s sunny outside and it’s lunch time and a patient doesn’t turn up there’s only one thing to do.

I never thought I’d have to enforce this after 11 years but this is getting out of hand and getting worse.

Recently a new patient failed to attend 3 times in a row and got angry that we wouldn’t make another appointment for them. New patients making appointments and getting reminders then not turning up saying they were busy. Some regulars just not turning up and saying they had other plans but need to be seen again urgently.

Please think before making appointments, text reminders are up from 48 hours before you attend to 4 days now.

MISSED APPOINTMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY



Unfortunately we are having to enforce our missed appointment and cancellation policy due to the increased number of missed and cancelled appointments, which is costing the business a substantial amount of money as well as leaving staff with many gaps.



May 26 – 64 missed/cancelled appointments (with less than 48 hours notice)

June 26 – 62 missed/cancelled appointments (with less than 48 hours notice)



If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please give 48 hours advance notice, to ensure that you will not be charged £30 for the appointment.



If cancellation is made on the same day or an appointment is not attended, you will be expected to pay for the appointment in full.

As the hockey ended for the season I finish as the last corporate sponsor of the amazing Shane Owen, goal tender for the Flyers. Season had its ups and downs but managed to meet and treat many Flyers Players but nothing comes close to receiving Shane’s game worn shirt which is on display temporarily on the new wall in the clinic.
All of us at Footmonkey Podiatry wish Shane the very best next season with the Sheffield Steeldogs.
