🎸🎢 Another fantastic afternoon here at Gowrie! πŸ’™

We had a brilliant time enjoying the best of 60s and 70s rock ’n’ roll with Deggsy! 🎀🎡 There was plenty of dancing πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί, swaying, singing along 🎢 and, most importantly, lots of smiling faces all around our Kirkcaldy home. 😊✨

We've got another lovely week planned, full of fun, friendship and wellbeing! πŸ’™

πŸ‹οΈ Burns Gym – keeping active, building strength and having fun together.
🎱🍺 Pool & Pints Social – a great opportunity to relax, socialise and enjoy good company.
β˜•πŸ—£οΈπŸ›’ Tea, Talk & Tuck Trolley – bringing tasty treats, friendly chats and smiles to everyone around the home.
πŸŽ‰πŸ’ͺ Body Boosting Bingo – a fun twist on bingo with gentle movements to keep both body and mind active!
πŸ–οΈβ˜• Colouring Club – unwind with a cuppa, get creative and enjoy some mindful colouring.

πŸ’™ As always, we'll also be spending plenty of quality **one-to-one time** with our residents, sharing conversations, supporting individual interests and creating meaningful moments together.

Julie and some of our wonderful ladies organised a lovely hen do afternoon for our activity team leader Amy, who is heading off on annual leave to get married! πŸŽ‰πŸ’

The afternoon was full of laughter and celebrations, with plenty of glasses of Nosecco and Bucks Fizz πŸ₯‚πŸŠ, a few rounds of Bridal Bingo πŸŽ²πŸ’’, and a hilarious challenge to design Amy a wedding dress using nothing but loo roll! πŸ€πŸ§»πŸ‘—

A special shout-out to Jim, who proudly volunteered to walk Amy down the aisle! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ He certainly looked the part!

To finish off the afternoon, Amy was presented with a beautiful scrapbook filled with cherished Gowrie memories and heartfelt messages from our ladies and gents. πŸ“–πŸ’– It was such a special surprise, and there were definitely a few happy tears! πŸ₯ΉπŸ’•

We’re so incredibly proud of our Gardening Club this year! 🌼🌿 Today, we harvested some of our final fresh veggies before our autumn harvest and delivered them straight to our amazing Head Chef, Kris! πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³πŸ’š

Today’s delivery included fresh parsley 🌿 and crisp celery πŸ₯¬, all grown with care by our wonderful gardeners. We can’t wait to see these homegrown ingredients turned into something delicious for everyone to enjoy! 🌱✨

For the last year or so, during 1:1 time, Roy and I have spent countless chats talking all things rugby. One thing that always came up was how amazing it would be to watch Scotland play at Murrayfield one day. 🏟️🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Today, we finally made that dream a reality as we watched Scotland vs Fiji! πŸ‡«πŸ‡― What an unforgettable day it wasβ€”brilliant rugby, glorious sunshine, and plenty of smiles from start to finish. β˜€οΈπŸ‰πŸ’™ and what a result 33-17 to Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
