A fantastic example of what can be achieved when orthodontics and restorative dentistry work hand in hand.

Orthodontic treatment, completed by our friends at St Andrews Orthodontics, created the ideal foundation by aligning the teeth and improving the overall smile framework. Once treatment was complete, we carried out professional whitening and carefully planned composite bonding to refine tooth shape, close black triangles, improve symmetry, and create a brighter, more youthful appearance.

This case is great example of what can be achieved with orthodontic treatment.

This lovely patient presented with a large midline diastema. Interestingly, the space was actually considerably wider than it appeared clinically, as pre-existing composite restorations on the mesial surfaces of both central incisors had partially disguised the true extent of the gap.

Using , we were able to upright and reposition the teeth, closing the diastema while improving overall tooth alignment and proportions. By addressing the underlying tooth position rather than simply adding restorative material, we were able to achieve a more balanced and predictable result.

Cases like this highlight the importance of careful diagnosis and treatment planning. What may initially appear to be a restorative challenge can often be managed more conservatively and effectively through orthodontic tooth movement.

This lovely patient came to us ahead of her wedding wanting to refresh older dental work that no longer matched the rest of her smile. Existing composite fillings had become worn and discoloured, and an old porcelain bonded crown was no longer blending naturally with the adjacent teeth.

Using carefully layered composite bonding techniques alongside a beautifully matched new ceramic restoration, we rebuilt symmetry and shape while keeping everything natural and harmonious.

From crowding and uneven oval tooth shapes… to balanced, refined and beautifully natural.

This smile transformation combined Invisalign alignment, professional whitening and carefully layered composite edge bonding to refine the final tooth proportions and symmetry.

The goal was never to create a “done” smile — it was to enhance what was already there while respecting facial features, function and individuality. Softening the oval tooth form, improving alignment and creating cleaner incisal edges made such a difference to the overall harmony of the smile.
