It seems my love of bookshops is continuing… 📚✨
Yesterday I returned to one of my favourite second hand bookshops in Berwick upon Tweed. I was so lucky to find a few beautiful spiritual books that seemed to be calling my name.
There is something quite magical about a second hand book. It already has a story before you have even opened the first page. Someone else has held it, read its words & maybe found something within its pages that they needed at that particular time & then passed it on ready for someone new to discover it.
One of my finds was a 55 year old book about inner transformation. Finding it tucked away on a shelf just a week after I had been reflecting and writing about transformation really made my day!! Last week I wrote that sometimes the biggest transformations don’t begin with a grand plan. Sometimes they begin with a river, a bookshop, a box of chocolates and the quiet permission to simply be. Yesterday felt like another little chapter of that same story.
Maybe books transform too. They pass from one pair of hands to another offering something different to each person that turns there pages & guides on where that person is on their own journey & maybe life is a little like that too.
We do not always find the things we need because we are searching for them. Sometimes we simply return to a favourite little bookshop & something finds us. 📖✨🌿 Have a lovely Sunday all ❤️🙏 Llana
