Our first gathering was everything we hoped it might be – there were stories shared, memories remembered, tears shed and, importantly, plenty of laughter too.
To the lovely ladies who joined us for that first evening, we'd love to welcome you back. 💛
And if you saw our previous posts, thought about coming but didn't quite feel ready to walk through the door – perhaps this time you will.
New faces are always welcome.
Life After Life is for anyone who has lost a husband, wife or life partner, whether your loss was recent or many years ago.
There is no pressure to tell your story or even to speak. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. You are equally welcome to come along, have a cuppa and simply listen.
If you would like to, bring a photograph or small keepsake of your loved one to place on our memory table for the evening. There is no obligation – it's simply there for anyone who finds comfort in having them close.
Life After Life isn't counselling or therapy, and we don't pretend to have the answers. It's simply a safe, confidential and welcoming space where people who understand the unique experience of losing a life partner can come together without judgement.
If you've been thinking about joining us but you're nervous about coming on your own, please feel free to send us a private message beforehand.
Sometimes just walking through the door is the hardest part. Once you're through it, you'll be among people who understand. 💛
