Meet the Shortlisted Candidates 🐾

Following George's retirement, our search for SUSE's next Chief Wellbeing Manager is well underway.

After a rigorous screening process (and several treat-based negotiations), we've narrowed the field to four exceptional candidates:
🐶 Candidate #1 and 2 (job share): Bring extensive experience in strategic napping and sofa occupation.
🐶 Candidate #3: Known for proactive wellbeing check-ins, especially when snacks are involved.
🐶 Candidate #4: A strong advocate for work-life balance, regular walk breaks, and ending meetings on time.

Each candidate has demonstrated impressive credentials in tail wagging, morale boosting and being ridiculously photogenic.

The hiring panel is now accepting unofficial votes. Who do you think should inherit George's collar and continue his legacy as SUSE's Chief Wellbeing Manager? 🐾❤️

As David moves on from SUSE, another familiar face is hanging up his collar... 🐾

After years of keeping us focused in meetings, boosting morale and demonstrating world-class napping techniques on Teams calls, George is stepping down from his role as Chief Wellbeing Manager.

While we'll miss seeing him snoozing behind David on camera (often in positions that defied both physics and comfort), we're pleased to announce we've already received applications from four highly qualified furry candidates.

The interview process is underway, with assessments covering napping ability, tail-wag enthusiasm, treat negotiation skills, and overall good-dog credentials.

Please join us in thanking George for his years of dedicated service and wishing our candidates the best of luck! 🐶❤️

Our first full team SUSE Development Day was a fantastic morning bringing together SUSE staff, training partners and Experience Network members to share ideas and discuss opportunities for the future. It was great opportunity for everyone to meet our new CEO, Grant Campbell, hear his vision for SUSE, and catch up with colleagues in a more informal setting.

With many of us working remotely, the day provided a valuable chance to come together in person, strengthen relationships and enjoy some thought-provoking discussions on wellbeing and future opportunities. Thanks to everyone who joined us – we're excited to take some of the ideas generated forward.

Inclusion is on show across Glasgow 2026, not just in competition, but behind the scenes too. From athletes and coaches to volunteers, young leaders, venue teams and broadcast professionals, disabled people are helping shape the Commonwealth Games every day. Their experiences, skills and leadership are playing a key role in creating a Games that reflects Scotland's communities.

At SUSE, we're enjoying following the stories behind Glasgow 2026 and the many people making these Games possible. Wishing everyone a fantastic Games.
