Repeat Prescription Collection and Delivery Service: We offer a free repeat prescription collection and delivery service from all local GP surgeries. If you would like to make use of this service please give us a call to arrange for your prescription to be collected. Dispensing: We dispense NHS and private prescriptions and give advice on how to get the most benefit from your medicines. We keep a
comprehensive stock of medicines and use a fast and efficient wholesaler service to enable us to fill all prescriptions promptly. Repeat Dispensing: We can automatically re-order your repeat prescription on your behalf via our Repeat Medication Service, saving you time and hassle. Please ask in the pharmacy about this service. Treatment for Minor Ailments: We can advise on and provide medicines for a wide range of minor ailments and in some cases, if you have an NHS exemption, we may be able to provide medicines free of charge. Please call or ask one of our trained team for details. Stop Smoking Service: We can provide you with Nicotine Replacement (patches, gum, lozenges etc.) and the support you need to stop smoking. The service is free of charge and lasts for 12 weeks. If you are thinking about stopping, call into the pharmacy and speak to one of our trained members of staff. Dosette/Blister Packs: We can dispense prescription medication in multi-compartmental packaging which may aid those who have issues managing their medication. This service is mainly aimed at those patients on multiple medications who have difficulty remembering to take them correctly or who require home care. NHS Health Advice and Self-care: The pharmacist and our trained assistants are available for advice on all medicines and minor ailments, in private if required. We can also give advice on how to live a healthy life, for example, advice on how to stop smoking or healthy diets. We can direct you to other sources of advice and assistance if we cannot help
you ourselves. Medicine Sales: We keep a wide range of over the counter medicines and also vitamins and mineral supplements. Holiday Healthcare: We can advise on medical requirements for travellers, including anti-malaria treatments. Emergency Supplies: If you need one of your regular medicines in an emergency when you are unable to contact your doctor, we may be able to help. We must stress that this can only be done in genuine emergencies and it may incur a charge. Emergency Hormonal Contraception: EHC or the ‘morning after pill’ may be available through the NHS after consultation with your pharmacist. Unwanted Medicines: Please return all unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely.
