About the Role

* Supporting clients to access their local community
* Promoting independence and wellbeing

Position Details

* Role: Senior Carer – Night Shift

* Hours: Night shifts (full-time)

About the Role

As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents receive excellent care, comfort, and reassurance throughout the night. You will lead by example, support care staff on shift, and maintain a calm, safe, and caring environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high standards of personal and emotional care
* Administer and record medication where required
* Support and supervise care staff during the night shift
* Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond appropriately to needs or emergencies
* Maintain accurate care records and handovers
* Promote dignity, independence, and respect for all residents
* Ensure health & safety and care standards are maintained at all times

Requirements

* Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential care setting
* SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred but no essential as full training opportunities available.
* Medication administration experience desirable
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering quality care
* Ability to work independently during night shifts

The Role
We are looking for a reliable and flexible Bank Cook to join our team on an as-needed basis. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and prepare daily meals, including special dietary requirements
* Ensure all food is freshly prepared and presented to a high standard
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
* Comply with all food hygiene regulations and care home policies
* Monitor food stock levels and support ordering where required
* Work collaboratively with care staff to meet residents’ needs

Requirements

* Previous cooking experience, ideally in a care home or similar setting
* Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
* Ability to cater for a range of dietary needs (e.g. soft diets, allergies)
* Good time management and organisational skills
* A caring and patient approach
* Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice
