What a lovely message to start the day!
Headaches are often caused by tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back. Little adhesions that sit in the muscles causing tension and restricted movement. This one was quite an easy fix, hope it stays that way 🤞x

An early morning appointment to treat a bride groom’s lower back which was threatening to go in to spasm. The needles worked their magic and fingers crossed there will be no hobbling down the aisle!

Acupuncture in the back to treat foot pain!

This lady presented with pain on top of both feet. Having checked for mid foot strains, fibula strains and tension in the affected muscles all looked remarkably good. It turns out L5/S1 was fused many years ago.

The L5 nerve path exits between the L5 and S1 vertebrae, controlling foot dorsiflexion (lifting the foot upward) and big toe extension. It provides sensation to the top of the foot and the outer shin. Further investigation found significant tension in the lower lumbar muscles which were treated with soft tissue techniques and acupuncture. This helped to relieve muscle tension, back pain disappeared and so did the foot pain. This is work in progress, we will check up again next week but so far so good 🤞Sometimes you have to be a detective!

CANCELLATION POLICY

Just to reiterate our cancellation policy. Unfortunately it has become necessary lately to impose this.

To ensure fairness to all clients and to protect appointment availability, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments (no-shows), will be charged the full treatment price.

Clients who cancel late or do not attend their appointment may be required to pay in advance when booking future treatments.

NEW CLIENTS
All new clients will be asked to pay a non-refundable £10 booking fee at the time of scheduling their first appointment. This fee will be deducted from the total cost of the treatment on the day of your appointment.

We truly value each and every client and aim to be as flexible and understanding as possible. Unfortunately, due to a small number of missed and last-minute cancellations, it is necessary to instil this policy.

Acupuncture has been available for a year now and we have seen fabulous results. As an addition to a ‘western’ practice it is extremely useful to help relieve muscle tension and provide pain relief as well as many other benefits. Clients with various arthritic issues report a significant improvement, we have even successfully treated insomnia. Available as an individual treatment or can be included with soft tissue therapy.
