WorkWell: Free NHS Support to Help You Stay in or Return to Work
Colebridge Trust is supporting people across Solihull, Shirley, North Solihull and Birmingham through WorkWell, a FREE, voluntary NHS service helping people find work, stay in employment or return to work.

The service can help people who are off sick, experiencing health conditions, mental health difficulties or disabilities, or worried about losing their job. Support includes physiotherapy, pain management, talking therapies, mental health support, occupational health and courses to develop new skills.

Pharmacy Technician Day, 20th October

Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of a pharmacist to make sure that patients get the most out of their medicines. They offer advice to patients, and give out medicines as required. They can refer patients to other healthcare professionals and work in the dispensary to ensure the supply of medicines.

Pharmacy Technician Day recognises the extraordinary contributions of pharmacy technicians to patient care and their essential role within the healthcare team. Infection Prevention Control Week, 19th–25th October

Infection prevention and control (IPC) is a practical, evidence-based approach preventing patients and health workers from being harmed by avoidable infections. It includes hand hygiene, surgical site infections, injection safety, antimicrobial resistance and how hospitals operate during and outside of emergencies. Programmes to support IPC are particularly important in low- and middle-income countries, where secondary infections can affect health care delivery and medical hygiene standards.

This week is is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the critical importance of infection prevention. It celebrates the impact of IPC and reinforces the essential practices that save lives. The theme for this year’s event is Generations of Infection Prevention | Past. Present. Protected.
