AI‑powered hearing aids are changing what’s possible in hearing care, but they’re not the whole story. 🧐

AI is now woven into almost everything we use, from our phones to our cars, and it's even transforming hearing aids too! 🦻

👂Modern AI‑driven devices can automatically adapt to different environments, reduce background noise, and make following conversations feel more natural.

But technology alone doesn’t create better hearing.
As person‑centred audiologists, we know that technology works best when it’s paired with truly personalised care. Care that understands each individual’s needs, lifestyle, and listening challenges. 🥰

In our latest blog, we explore how AI‑powered hearing aids, including the new Widex Allure AI, deliver clearer conversations, and why tailored audiology remains essential for truly life‑changing results.

🔥 Heatwave in the UK? Could it be too hot?
Whether you are seeking shade or sun worshipping, here’s how to keep your ears and hearing aids protected and working well🔥

When temperatures climb, your ears and hearing aids need a little extra care. Sweat, humidity and sudden temperature changes can all affect comfort and performance, but a few simple habits keep everything working smoothly.

🌡️ Keep devices dry
Moisture can be a problem for hearing aids in a heatwave. Use a drying box or drying capsules overnight to pull out sweat and humidity.

🧴 Avoid sunscreen build‑up
Creams and sprays can clog microphones. Apply sunscreen first, let it fully absorb, then put your hearing aids in.

🧢 Give your ears a breather
If your ears feel warm or irritated, take short breaks in the shade and gently wipe around the ear with a clean cloth.

👜 Store safely on the go
If you take your hearing aids out, never leave them in a hot car or windowsill. A shaded bag or case is much safer.

💧 Stay hydrated
Good hydration helps your whole body regulate heat, including the delicate skin around your ears

Pop into our clinic for a quick clean and check of your hearing aids to make sure they are working well so you can carry on enjoying the beautiful sunshine!

Communication belongs to everyone! 🫶

By being more mindful, more patient, and more inclusive, we can help remove the barriers that people with hearing loss face every day.

Together, we can create a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and understood.
During Deaf Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the importance of understanding, inclusion, and creating spaces where everyone can communicate with confidence.
Awareness is the first step, action is the next.

Deaf Awareness Week!!! 📣📣

Every May, Deaf Awareness Week invites us to pause and reflect on something many people take for granted: to understand and be understood.👂

This year’s theme Right to Understand: Together, We Break Barriers resonates deeply with us as person-centred audiologists. Hearing care isn’t just about devices or diagnostics, It’s about connection, dignity, and the freedom to participate fully in life. 🫂

This year join us in raising awareness of the challenges the 11 million people living with hearing loss face, improving accessibility so that they can feel connected to the world around them. ❤️
