Do you need insoles? 👣
Insoles (also called orthoses) can be used to help support your feet, improve how they function, and reduce strain on the feet and lower limbs.
They may be recommended for a range of conditions, including:
🦶 Plantar heel pain – helping to reduce stress on the tissues under the foot
🦶 Flat feet – providing additional support and improving foot alignment
🦶 Overpronation – helping to manage excessive inward rolling of the foot
🦶 Arch or forefoot pain – redistributing pressure and supporting the foot
🦶 Achilles tendon problems – helping to reduce load on the tendon
🦶 Knee, hip or lower-limb pain – in some cases, addressing contributing biomechanical factors
🦶 Arthritis – providing cushioning, support and pressure redistribution
Not everyone needs an insole, and the right type depends on your individual feet, symptoms and activity levels. A podiatrist can assess your foot function and recommend whether an insole could be beneficial for you.
