Its 🌍 World Immunisation Week 💉 – a global reminder of how vaccines protect us, our families, and our communities.

Knutsford Medical Partnership offer a wide range of routine and seasonal vaccinations, including:
✔️ Childhood immunisations
✔️ Flu vaccines
✔️ COVID-19 boosters
✔️ Travel vaccines
✔️ Shingles and pneumonia vaccines

Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent serious illness. It not only protects you but also helps safeguard those who are more vulnerable, such as babies, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

By staying up to date with your vaccines, you’re helping to stop the spread of infectious diseases and protect public health.

If you’re unsure whether you or your family members are due any vaccines, please get in touch with our team

Its Social Prescribing Day!

Knutsford Medical Partnership have 2 Social Prescribing Link Workers, Maria and Denise.

Denise and Maria connect people to activities, groups, and services in our community. They help patients with practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing.

Social Prescribing Link Workers give people time, focusing on ‘what matters to me?’. Denise and Maria work together with our patients to support them to take control of their health and wellbeing.

Social prescribing is an all-age, whole population approach that works particularly well for people who:

· Have one or more long term conditions

· Need support with low level mental health issues

· Are lonely or isolated

· Have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

Social prescribing involves understanding the complexities of people’s lives and the inequalities they may face. It can help change the circumstances that make people unwell and empower people to manage existing health problems.
It can help people to connect and to grow in confidence. Social prescribing link workers also support existing community groups to be accessible and sustainable, and help people to start new groups, working collaboratively with all local partners.
