There has been a worrying drop in the number of people coming forward for cervical screening, with around 30% of eligible women and people with a cervix in Swindon - about 21,000 - overdue or not yet booked in.

The screening helps to detect abnormalities within the cervix and prevent the potential development of cervical cancer.

So, if you've been invited, please don't delay and book in today - it could just save your life.🩷

And for our staff, we're proud to have a dedicated clinic at the hospital, making it easier for them to have this important health check.

Admiral Nurse clinics are face to face for 45 minutes, it is highly recommended to book in advance.

The clinics are free, there is no need or expectation to be a customer, everyone receives the same warm welcome and are held in a confidential and accessible space.

The clinics aim to provide an additional resource to the already excellent local services, if you would like to share any information about your service, it is always useful to have leaflets available to give out as required.

The branch staff in Newbury are extremely supportive and welcoming to all who attend.
