NHS LANARKSHIRE
📣People in Lanarkshire who receive regular vitamin B12 injections may now be able to administer them at home.
💉 The new self-administration programme gives eligible patients greater flexibility, independence and control over their care, with full training, support and equipment provided by NHS staff.
Participation is entirely optional, and patients can continue attending appointments if they prefer.
👥Patients who would like to learn more should speak to a member of staff during their next B12 appointment.
Benefits of B12 self-administration include:
✅Greater independence and control over care.
✅No need to attend a Treatment Room for every injection.
✅More flexibility to administer injections at a convenient time.
✅Ongoing support and training from NHS staff.
✅The option for a family member or carer to be trained to administer injections.

Update @ 8.12am. Phone lines have been fixed by the supplier. So are now working.

Our phones lines are advising we are closed for a public holiday today.

We are open as normal. We are in contact with our supplier to get this message removed, so our phone lines ring through to the surgery.

The Surgery is taking part in protected learning time from 2pm to 6pm. If you have an acute or urgent matter in this time please call the surgery and you will then be re-directed to NHS Lanarkshire PLT team. For all non urgent queries please call back when we reopen on Thursday 30th

From Tuesday 14th July.

Unfortunately at the moment the surgery has less administrative staff working. We may take longer to answer your phone call, and ask you to be patient with us. We also ask if you are able please help by using Accrux instead of calling in to the surgery for the admin staff to add your request, this will allow the admin staff to help the patients who don’t have access to Accrux.

We appreciate your help and your understanding at this time.
