Nabila and Tariq are back from their charity trek and back in the pharmacy. Never one for shouting about their amazing achievements (of which, there are many), It’s up to me to sing their praises! So, I’m letting you know that this last trip where they climbed the two highest mountains in Bosnia raised an incredible £100,000. What a FANTASTIC total.

All the proceeds from the trip and any subsequent donations are going to the Abaseen Foundation who are building a new school to provide children with an alternative to work and an increased life expectancy, and a hospital to provide care for people in Pakistan who do not have access to any healthcare at the moment.

As we approach midsummer, have you upped your suncream rating? It’s so easy to keep slapping on the old bottle that’s in the bathroom cabinet, but the summer sun can do serious damage to your skin and below. So, check your suncream’s not out of date, and has a high SPF rating to protect from UVA and UVB radiation. Unsure? Pop in and ask- we’ve done the maths.

Not really a 'pharmacy' post, but I simply had to share what Tariq and Nabila sent to me this morning. A huge bonus for them, on what is already proving to be the most incredible charity trip to Bosnia... they were lucky enough to see a very rare eagle.

If you’ve been in the pharmacy this week, you may have noticed that our Tariq and Nabila are AWOL! It’s because they’ve gone to Bosnia with a group of friends, to do a trek for the Abaseen Foundation. They are raising money for a hospital and a school in northern Pakistan. We were thrilled to get an update and these photos this morning and it looks AMAZING!
Tariq says his legs feel like they’ve been hit by a hammer, but I think a few days of R&R after the big climb and they’ll be back on top form!
