πŸ„ Robotic Milking Installs - Making the right decisions

Our ruminant nutritionist, Callum Wright, recently spoke with British Dairying about the key decisions he would prioritise when considering robotic milking systems.

As a former herd manager, Callum brings valuable insight from both sides of the industry, having experienced robotic installs first-hand from both a management and nutritional perspective.

πŸ‡©πŸ‡° Denmark Study Tour

Last week, the team headed over to Denmark for a study tour, kindly hosted by Vilofoss.

The main focus was transition cows, but it was also a great chance to see how Danish farms are run day-to-day and pick up some ideas around herd health. We visited a range of farms, milking between 480 and 970 Jersey cows.

What stood out were the number of farms in Denmark using X-Zelit asa key tool for transition management. One unit, have used it for over 10 years due to its effectiveness and simplicity.

If you’d like to hear more insights from the trip, drop us a message with your email and we’ll add you to the list.

Thanks to John Fish and the team at VilofossπŸ˜ƒ
