Thereā€™s a bushy climbing rose as you arrive here at the Studio. Itā€™s finished flowering, but hasnā€™t been trimmed for good reason - spot the beautiful eggs! Can you guess the bird?

To make 1 litre of distilled rosa damascena essential oil it takes 3500 kg of fresh damask rose flowers plus 4 parts of mountain spring water. Thank you Denitsa & Luisa at Enio Bonchev Distillery Bulgaria for a very special morning šŸŒ¹

Itā€™s been a while since I posted anything on social media, as a conscious decision to step away from the screen. But today I have some simple photos to share.

When Apple Tree Studio came into being eight years ago, it was a garage on a brownfield site. The dream was to turn it into a studio for my treatments, with a little green space where nature would thrive. Nothing fancy, just a modest garden where birds, insects, small mammals, reptiles & other creatures could safely live with us, side by side.

Today, on a bright spring morning, there are small apple trees in bloom, herbs & flowers flourishing, a robin, chaffinch & wren singing their hearts out in the trees and hedgerow.

If you have a moment, stand still. You too may hear birdsong, see a flower in bloom, smell blossom or feel the silky growth of a new leaf. Itā€™s a beautiful day.
