Thank you Thom for being our designated driver 🚐 and taking some of our residents and staff to Balloch. A trip across the Clyde and a lovely lunch at the Tullie Inn brightened a gloomy day.

Our new Assistant Activity Co-Ordinator, Calum, kept everyone busy this week.
Residents looked at shells which also provide sensory activity, feeling the texture and shapes.
Play your cards right! Is it higher than a 4? a KING!
Tasty Tuesday had some cheese, crackers, and port for everyone to try.
And residents made our annual friendship wreath, decorating hand shapes to create a beautiful artwork which is now on display.

A huge congratulations and a sad farewell to Faith and Kirsten who graduated from UWS and will be starting their teaching careers next month!
Faith has been a very cheerful face in the kitchen since 2022, and Kirsten has been a valued member of the Admin team since 2021 (but has also been part of the kitchen team and the domestic team along the way!).
We wish both of them the best of luck in their new careers!

With the Commonwealth Games kicking off in Glasgow yesterday, Haylie House couldn't resist celebrating with our very own Commonwealth Games! πŸ…

The afternoon began with an opening parade, led by our fantastic flag bearer and baton bearer, before everyone got stuck into a variety of fun indoor team games. We then headed outside for some exciting races, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and some healthy competition of course!

It was wonderful to see our residents, relatives, and staff coming together to enjoy such a fun-filled day. A huge congratulations to Team Scotland, who were crowned our overall champions! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘

We had a USA themed day for last week for Independence Day. Residents learned about some famous Americans and some fact about America.

We also had a bus trip and some games this week, and our regular visit from Therapet Lubo. We have also been back out in the garden enjoying the good weather 🌞

Laurence has been entertaining us once again, everyone had a great time singing and dancing with him. πŸŽΆπŸ•Ί
