"I was dealing with the loss of my husband when I discovered Sally.

I found each day almost impossible and had many kinds of treatments as way of a coping mechanism.

I had experienced Reiki over many years and found it relaxing but in a position of deep grief something more was needed.

Sally’s Ember Flame treatment was recommended to me, a sort of super charged Reiki.

I felt amazing following the treatment and very much at peace, calmer and so much less tension within my body which helped me to process my loss and continues to do so.

This is a unique and beautiful experience and the conversation with Sally so very, very special.

I totally got it."

I’m finding myself drawn to write about my thoughts and experiences of my last 2.5 years of ‘awakening’. I don’t like the phrase ‘awakening’, but truly, I’m at a loss as to what else to call it.

I realise not many people may read my witterings but if I’d found someone like me, detailing their crazy ups and downs during their ‘weird phase,’ then I’d have felt a whole lot better about what I was experiencing. I’m going to tell it like it is. No sugar coating. No spiritual codexes and no AI generated monologues. I’m going to tell you the whole damn truth, warts and all!

So - meditation. Let’s begin - because meditation is exactly how I ‘began’.
Firstly, I must stress, this is MY truth. This does not mean this is right for you. This does not mean I’m saying cross-legged yogis on a mountainside are doing it wrong. I’m telling you my perspective and if it helps you to find a version that works for you, then I’ll be truly delighted to have assisted. So, where I say one does/does not need or should do - that’s entirely based on my perspective and is not me declaring authoritative knowledge of every aspect of meditation!

1) Meditation does NOT require you to think of nothing.
I defy even the most practiced of meditation gurus to be able to think of nothing. Even if you’ve heard that before, the next most widely discussed thing is the fact that it’s more about ‘observing’ the thoughts that do pop up.
Well, yes….maybe….but still, for me that’s not it either. Even after 2.5 years of near daily practice for me, my brain is still running at hyper speed through a whole pile of stuff when I ‘meditate’. And I definitely meditate!

2) Meditation is best done alone.
I have been in group meditations and, in my personal experience, if your brain wasn’t fully occupied with your own thoughts before, being in a group will, most certainly, give you a whole new level of distraction (comparing yourself to others, or being distracted by the noises and movements made by others). And for the record, when I say ‘alone’, that includes family members, children…and pets if they are the lovingly high maintenance variety!
If you’ve never noticed it before, when you start meditating, you will probably have a voice in your head - that voice is you, having a (probably sarcastic) conversation with yourself about what you’re doing and why you’re doing it! This is 100% normal and is unlikely to go away any time soon!

3) Meditation does NOT have to be carried out in any specific position.
Yes, I am quite sure that some schools of meditation suggest specific positions for the optimum chakra shenanigans, but you absolutely do not need to adopt this to meditate as a beginner or intermediate. I won’t say advanced because I don’t consider myself advanced in meditation, so I’m not going to make a statement I can’t confirm or deny from my own experience. Personally, I can’t do it lying down because I fall asleep really really fast and find I wake up at the end (apparently this is a sign you go really deep. But if you’re a perfectionist and/or an Aries like me, this feels incredibly frustrating and like you’re wasting your time!).
My favourite position is using a ‘zafu’ which is a fancy name for a firm, round cushion designed for meditation. It’s bizarrely comfortable enough that you don’t get pins and needles in your feet, but not so comfortable you drift off. It also helps in getting you to sit up straight - which seemed to be helpful for me but is not at all necessary.

4) Start with guided meditations. And if you’re ok wearing comfortable headphones, I’d say use them.
Headphones have a way of making you feel much more ‘in your own head’ and I used them for a long time.
In regards to guided meditations - yes there are loads of apps. I used Headspace myself about 10 years ago and found it very useful then. However, I am lucky enough to have Spotify Premium and I cannot live without it. There is so much on there, you will begin an interesting journey in finding the one that fits for you. There is no ‘right one’. Yes, I could recommend you start with a chakra opening guided meditation (which is what I did), but search and see what draws your attention. It might be the title, the artwork or just hearing a snippet of it that makes you go - “oooh yes, that one might be good.” And in the scheme of all that is this ‘weirdness’, gut feel and serendipity is a really good compass to trust.

So, with my 4 key meditation starters covered, here are my personal recommendations as I wish someone had told me in the beginning:

• It is better to meditate a little every day than a long session once a week.
• Make sure you are alone and not going to be disturbed.
• If you are squeezing meditation into a busy schedule, set your phone to silent/do not disturb, and set a timer for the length of your meditation (if not guided). Make sure you choose a chilled out timer alarm sound to avoid a heart attack at the end of your session!!
• Wear something warm/cool (as appropriate) and comfortable, you don’t want to be distracted by an uncomfortable bra, a we**ie or an itchy jumper! Meditation can make you feel cold, so if it’s not mid Summer, maybe have a blanket to hand.
• If you get settled and begin and in the first 2 minutes start wondering if you’ve locked the car, turned your timer on, put the bins out etc etc, then stop, deal with it and start again. Believe me, it will bug you the whole session if you don’t and you might as well not bother!

I’ve realised as I’m writing this, that there’s actually quite a lot to tell you and have decided to split it into 3 or 4 parts, recalling all the things that happened to me along the way. So for now, I will finish part 1 of covering the basics with saying;

Meditation isn’t just something for those looking for their own ‘journey’. It is, I believe, an absolutely essential accompaniment for daily life in 2020-something. It is more beneficial than collapsing in front of the TV at the end of the day as it can support your mind, body, mental health and overall wellbeing.

Meditation is not sitting doing nothing. Over time, it will open a gateway of self analysis and understanding that helps you know yourself better than ever before - and that too is an incredibly valuable life tool.

Finally, depending on your point of view, I would like to reassure you that meditation is not a gateway to spirits or the occult! For most people, the only thing bad that can happen during meditation is that you fall asleep and have an extended nap…..and let’s be honest, we all need plenty more of those!

Part 2 coming soon where I will cover breathing, music, imagery and the voice in your head. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please drop a comment and I’ll happily reply the best I can.

Much love x

10/09/2026

Walking a path with a blindfold on requires a huge amount of courage, trust and faith. I never imagined I would be where I am when my rather unusual journey began in 2024.

Today, 10th September 2026, I have to laugh when I can honestly say that, this week alone - the 4 days of one week, of one month, in one year have been like the training montage of a superhero movie for me! Now, before you exclaim inwardly - what! She thinks she’s a superhero now?! Wtaf?!

No - I do not - but, I can absolutely see the similarities in where I am at this week.

In 2 years, I have experienced a profound change in how I think. How I feel. Who I am. What I believe - well, actually, no, not so much what I believe, but the certainty with which I understand what I have always somehow known deep down.

I can talk about it now with a knowing and a certainty that makes me more like a huge tree with incredibly deep roots and a canopy reaching to the stars, rather than a tiny little human, occasionally thinking about the meaning of life.

I started a process. A chain reaction that began simply with meditation. A commitment to myself to make time and space for a journey I knew I wanted and was waiting there for me.

Every step was unknown. There was no ‘course’, no spiritual retreats, no weekly class, no mentor, no online guru, no plan whatsoever.

Yes, I searched. Yes, I was looking. And with that, I finally opened a door within me that is now one of the big reasons I get out of bed with joy and purpose every single day.

No matter what the world is throwing at me, no matter the drama, the personal issues, the financial pressures, the business stress, the worry a parent has for their children, the worry a child has for their older parents, the nagging thoughts about needing to spend more quality time with your husband, wondering why the cat isn’t his usual self, thinking that you really should get a handle on your weight, don’t forget the car needs an MOT…….

All that stuff we all are buried under….I get up every day, looking forward to what my next step on this path is, because I know, without doubt, I signed up for this.

I signed up for something way bigger than just that mental chatter and worry…and I am finding it. It is finding me. It is absurd and incredible. It is more joy than I can explain. It is the best friend I always hoped for. It is truly life within another life.

Some of you reading this know me personally.
Some of you know me through a mutual friend.
Some of you know me through work.
Some of you know me from my band.
Some of you knew me at school.
Some of you met me at the beginning of this journey.
Some of you have never met me in person and we may never have spoken.

But, I am fairly certain, those of you that are aware of me and who I am, would never say I was a hippy.

You wouldn’t say I was weird. You wouldn’t say I was ‘woo woo’.
You know me as a logical, busy, hard working, pretty normal sort of get-s**t-done woman who never seems to stop.

There would certainly be an easier option than telling my story publicly.
This route will get me more than a few raised eyebrows and probably some fleeting conversations along the lines of, “Someone I know seems to be having a bit of a breakdown and probably needs to go off and join a hippy commune somewhere!” Lol

However, there may be a few of you who think. Hang on. She’s a pretty switched on kind of person. What exactly is happening here? This is quite fascinating…I think I might quietly follow this story and see where it goes.

Well - I’m writing this for you I guess.

I’m writing this because I know I won’t be alone in my journey and there will be some….a few….who want their own journey but have no clue where to begin. No idea what to expect. And in the real world of a real life and all its pressures, I’m here to tell you to start that journey as soon as you can.

And if you want to ask me about it, I’m right here.

And if you want to share the weirdness you might come upon, I’m here.
And if you don’t, I’m still here and I will still write about what is happening to me because following quietly is how a lot of us deal with stuff we don’t know how to explain.
At least in the beginning.

I’m not at the beginning any more.
I’m not fully sure where I am in the journey, but, in the analogy of a superhero movie, I have discovered the weird s**t I can do. I have accidentally stumbled upon a tool box of skills that I seem to instinctively know what to do with.

I have had comedy moments. I have cried and cried during the process. I have been angry and frustrated.

I have vented to a very few close friends and family. I have wondered why. I have marvelled at the ‘skills’ and I have made mistakes and learned lessons about love, fear, trust and faith.

And now, I have clarity and certainty and a very real understanding of the underlying purpose of what I’m doing and how I am doing it.

So now, like any good superhero, I’m in the training montage phase!! When all I’ve learnt comes together and links together in a sort of ‘power up’ routine which is taking me to the next phase.

In real terms, because I know you will want it in real terms - as delightfully enthralling as it is to think I might be having a Marvel moment, I am now, as best as I can describe it,

A Lightworker and healer.
I work with energy, frequency and vibration to support healing in many forms, to unblock, to clear, to protect, to stabilise, to transmit, to energise, to create, to harmonise and to bring as much love and compassion as I can to everyone and everything in every way……

without the need for the stereotypical incense, broomsticks, warts or drugs!!!

And yes, I’m still me. I still run a cookie business, play in a band, have 2 teenagers, 3 cats, a husband and swear more than I should!

Much love xx

"It is quite difficult to describe my Ember Flame treatment without making something extraordinary sound rather ordinary.

I went to Sally with an open mind, but without any particular expectation of what I was supposed to feel. What happened was unlike anything I had experienced before.

At one point, I felt an unmistakable sensation move through my body; almost like a wave gently tugging me from somewhere deep inside myself. It was powerful enough that I was completely aware of it, yet there was nothing frightening about it, in fact quite the opposite. I felt extraordinarily safe.

There was a sense that something was happening beneath the level at which I usually understand myself. As though my body, or some quieter part of me, recognised something my conscious wasn't aware of, but unmistakably true and present. That was perhaps the most remarkable part.

We spend so much of our lives trying to understand ourselves through thought: analysing, explaining, remembering, making sense of things.
This felt different, it felt as though I had momentarily slipped in a protective bubble beneath all of that, into something instinctive and deeply held within my own make up.

I cannot pretend to understand precisely what happened, and strangely, I do not feel I need to. As I instinctively felt Sally was going to look after me.

What I can say is that it was a profound, beautiful and unexpectedly moving experience. I left feeling calmer, lighter and somehow more connected to myself.

Sally herself has a wonderful gentleness about her. There is no performance, no pressure to believe anything and no sense that you need to experience the session in a particular way. She simply creates an unassuming space in which you feel held enough to be still and allow whatever comes, to come.

For anyone curious about Ember Flame, I would say go with an open mind rather than an expectation. You may not be able to neatly explain what you experience afterwards, but you will be so very pleased that you did.

Perhaps that is rather the point.
Some things are understood by the body long before we find the words for them."

02/09/2026

Over the last 2 years, my rather peculiar spiritual ‘awakening’ journey has resulted in a continuous and often very in-depth internal dialogue.

In the beginning, I started seeking answers everywhere. Everywhere that is, that was what somebody else could tell me. Astronomy, astrology, Hermetics and goodness knows how many Facebook groups that I thought held people like me in a virtual group of spiritual truth seekers.

2 years on, I have now found my way and the ‘knowing’ that I have, allows me an interesting perspective.
And perspective is the important thing I would like to share with you.

I took this photograph a few mornings ago after overnight rain and heavy dew. It fascinated me because it started a thought process on perspective. Every water droplet is individual, and yet it’s still water. It’s all made of the exact same stuff. Every water droplet is in a different position. Hanging on, under, around or in the plant. Look closely and you will see that the view around is reflected in each droplet - upside down.

As the day progressed, some of the droplets were knocked or nudged by a passing animal, bird or breeze and fell to the ground below, providing moisture for the plants. Some evaporated. That is, they did not just disappear, they changed form into water vapour and rose into the air. At some point, some likely condensed in a cloud and have probably returned to earth to begin their cycle again.

It struck me that this is a very interesting analogy of the soul and incarnation on Earth.

Then - the perspective aspect.
The water droplet teetering on the head of the flower does not know what it is to be the larger droplet hanging under the stem. They will have experienced entirely different forces and gravity effects and the way their surface area and surface tension formed them on that morning. Their temperature will be different depending on whether they are in the shade or the sun. The water droplet in the shade near the bottom of the plant will have a very different outlook than the one at the top, glistening in the sunshine.

Yes these are physical location perspectives - but it’s not a bridge too far to think about each of us and how our very particular lives, characters, traits and physicalities act like a melting pot for a unique experience.

And does that make someone else’s beliefs and experiences wrong if they are not the same as ours? So what do you do or, what ‘should’ you do when faced with what one person claims to be truth and you don’t feel that to be true for you? Does that make you automatically right? Does it make them automatically wrong?

So, after so much thought, initially about the soul, the journey of the soul, the origin of the soul, the destination of the soul, the experiences of the soul and literally every aspect of this discussion, I have concluded that there is no one person who can tell me - or you - what the actual truth is.

(I caveat that with saying this does not apply to the assembly of Ikea furniture or similarly black and white fact based questions!)

Because truth is based on perspective.
And perspective creates almost unlimited viewpoints on the same topic.

The only real truth, is that you have your own.

If you stop and feel how your body reacts when you’re trying to ascertain truth, you will notice either;
A tightness. A clenching. A nagging. A ‘not quite comfortable’ feeling
Or
A steadiness, A calmness. A plain and simple knowing. A weight of certainty.

It takes a while to notice this.
It takes being present in the moment to realise that you know the answer….

the answer that is truth for you.

And once you know it, it is not for shouting from the rooftops.

It is your compass.
It is your guide.
No one else’s.

And with that compass, you can steer your ship through calm and stormy seas.

Today, before work, I grabbed 2 journals from my desk chaos. One is where I do my automatic writing.

It opened at a page I have no recollection of writing, though I know I did — early in 2025.

I read it.
I was stunned.

And so, I share it with you.

For if you are meant to read this and find some particle of knowing deep within you, or if it elicits any sort of emotional response, then perhaps you too will understand just how important this feels.

Not just for me. But for us all.
Much love xx

Who am I?

I am the oneness. I am time eternal. I am the sky, the sun, the moon. I am the day, the night.
I am more than you are alone, and more than all there is together.
I am the light and the dark. I am time, and I am no time.
I am forever and a moment.
I am the source. I am the infinite.
I am space. I am the space in between.
I am the world and every world.
I am you. You are the light.

I am here to experience myself in every facet.
I am experiencing all there is, for I am all there is.
The universe is a place of infinite possibility.

You have experienced many lives, many times, where you have chosen to be the version of yourself for the good of all.
This life is a gift, the gift of experience, where joy and abundance and light are yours for the taking.
You are worthy of the light. You are the light.
As you find the light, so too will others.
Guided by your own journey, others will open to this, and ascension will expand like the ripples in the water.

Welcome, my daughter. You are loved and welcome to the light.
You bring your desire for the earth and humanity, and the love you shine is a brightness that is that of the sun.

You are longing for a purpose, longing to serve and to help others, yet you do not realise this is all you have ever been. That which you want is all you have ever been.
Your beauty is within, and your energy is pure and true.
The light emanates from you in ways you cannot imagine, and your purpose always is, and always has been, to touch those around you with your brightness.

Time is of no consequence.
You are no more powerful now than you were as a small child.
Only now you have a greater understanding of that which is truly possible.

There is something incredibly special about hearing someone describe their Ember Flame session in their own words.

Because every experience is different.

There is no set treatment protocol. No prescribed outcome. No expectation of what you should feel or experience. What unfolds is as much of a discovery for you as it is for me.

Jacqui came to me during an intensely stressful period, simply wanting to give herself some space for self-care.

What unfolded was entirely her own experience of Ember Flame.

✨ Light Language
✨ Colour
✨ Physical sensations
✨ Different energies and presences
✨ And, perhaps my favourite description yet… an “energetic MOT”

Thank you, Jacqui, for trusting me with your energy — and for allowing me to share your beautiful words afterwards.
************

And this is how Jacqui described her experience…

“I listen to a number of excellent spiritual teachers who channel other dimensional beings so that aspect of your work was not new to me. However, although I was aware of people who could speak in Light Language, I have only had two short experiences of it. That was until I booked a treatment with you.

As I was going through an extremely stressful period of my life I was prioritising self-care and as part of that I was trying different treatments/healing modalities.

I have been a Reiki Master/Teacher and Holistic therapist/trainee for 26 years so am obviously very open to new ways of working. I’ve known you for most of that time, have always held you in high regard, and trust you implicitly.

I had no idea what to expect. I had no desired outcome other than to enjoy the experience.

What did I get?

An amazing experience where I witnessed you transform from being Sally to being a conduit of Light Language from what seemed to be a number of multi dimensional beings.

It was not in the least bit disconcerting. It was like a collective of beings of different ages, speaking different languages (none of which felt familiar, they felt other worldly). They worked through you in a very gentle and controlled manner.

I sensed childlike energies (fairies), animal energy (dragons), and other beings, and I had the impression it was being guided by an Elder, a wise woman - almost as if it was a training lesson showing how the various energies could work together for the benefit of an individual.

My body felt alive, my energy field was very ‘sparky’. I was seeing beautiful colours. Whatever was happening felt right, felt good.

I just felt I was having an energetic MOT.

At one point I smiled to myself because it felt as if a spaceship had landed outside the building and some very happy beings had been transported to Earth to show Sally how her skills could be used to help others and to teach the beings how they could work together, as more work will be done this way in the future.

I felt very grounded at the end and remained so for some days after.

To be honest I felt envious of Sally’s fast developing skills with Light Language. I believe many of us have this ability but it doesn’t necessarily make for an easy life whilst one gets used to it.

Sally has the strength to see this through and it was an honour to experience one of her sessions.”

10/08/2026

I’ve recently had the joy of experiencing a rare window of time alone.

Since my ‘awakening’ began in 2024, I’m conscious my progress, my intuition, my understanding and my Light Language and energy work, develop at a speed directly proportional to the amount of time and space I give myself. My internal dialogue is always ongoing. My need to understand and dissect my ‘gifts’ and my reactions to situations and events has meant a rather tiring self-analysis of, well, literally everything in my life I suppose!

But recently, things have changed.
When I look back at the last 32 months, I can see the equivalent of a mountain climb with mini plateaus. Some of the distances between those plateaus have been huge - and steep! Some have been easier. Some of the plateaus themselves have been annoyingly large and difficult to move from, but despite my impatience (I am an Aries), looking back shows me what incredible changes I have gone through mentally, emotionally and physically.

I’m now well over 2 years into my rather unbelievable journey. The journey that has taken me from a mother, wife, daughter and ridiculously stressed and busy business owner, to that of a dual identity woman who is all of the above, but now also speaks dozens of untranslatable languages with no academically accepted origin, makes the most complex finger, hand and arm motions, often symmetrically and in perfect unison, has the most ridiculous sense of ‘knowing’ about a lot of the ‘meaning and workings of life and souls’ and can stand on cliff edges weaving energy from the air, the sun, the sea and the land!

4 weeks ago, for the first time in my life, I went away for 3 days - entirely on my own. No friends, no husband, no children, no family. Nothing. Nobody. Just me. It felt like a pilgrimage I suppose as I had felt drawn to visit The Healing Festival in Somerset (not very me bizarrely), but I sort of hoped I would find something…someone maybe, who could tell me more about who I am and what I’m doing. Validation that all that internal dialogue and inner knowing was correct!

Well, the boring blunt bit first.
I lasted 3 hours at The Healing Festival.
Nothing against it at all, but I felt hugely uncomfortable. I was like a fish out of water. I desperately wanted to fit in, thinking these people might understand me. But I was a square peg in a round hole. I am not your archetypal incense-burning, tie-dye-dress-wearing, woodland-crowned Goddess (I mean - I wish I was sometimes tbh). I am a logical, proactive, open-minded yet suspicious, practical Gen X get-s**t-done unstoppable force!

So I left. Wondering what on Earth I was going to do for the rest of the weekend. And here is where it gets interesting. I drove. Like joining the dots in an unknown picture. I followed nudge after nudge and what unfolded was a stunning progression. It was like a parable. A story in real live LIFE action - MY life action. One that I truly can barely put into words for the serendipity, the lessons, the activations, the signs and the end result.

After 3 days, by the time I got home on the Sunday evening, it was like the clouds had lifted. I could finally see clearly….well, I’ll say, ‘know’ clearly.

There was no more internal dialogue. It was like I had finally left that plateau behind and begun the next climb. One of certainty. No more validation required. I had become more of me than I have ever been before. No doubt. No questions. No matter what my ‘real’ life is throwing at me (which, by the way, is an absolute tonne of uncertainty and burden right now!), I have this ridiculous knowing that I’ll come out the other side shining brighter than I have ever shone before.

And....I am now more comfortable than ever in the shoes I wear as an energy weaver and healer.

17/04/2026

Until now, my journey as a healer has never been one of a traditional therapist. No treatment room, no appointment booking.

I can see the pattern of my life - weird though it is. People (strangers) talk to me. People (strangers) have cried with me and I hug them. My whole life I have been working ‘in public’. Growing up, I worked in my family's shops and businesses. I’ve worked in my own businesses. All customer facing. Talking to people aaaaaaaall the time. Even playing in bands – it’s out amongst people.

I was trained in Reiki over 30 years ago by ‘accident’. I’d never even heard of it to be honest, but it became a focus for my underlying need to ‘do good’. The thought that energy can move through you to where it is most needed, even without conscious intention, is something I subconsciously brought into my work when I ran a large beauty spa - and also daily in my personal and family life. For me, Reiki is as routine as my morning shower.

But now…what I do now, is like Reiki on steroids - and even that is an understatement! I know, with undeniable clarity, that this is something I am supposed to share with intention and purpose.

It’s taken a long time for me to understand this, let alone believe it, but now, I am unquestioning and have total clarity that my energy weaving works on many, many levels. My default frequency acts as both a stabilising pillar and a broadcasting tower without me 'switching it on'. But, when I do actively work with it, it becomes considerably more.

Whilst I work with people and animals, I also work with land and space; weaving, clearing, adjusting and anchoring. The work is wholly intuitive and combines energy weaving, light language and coding.

My energy work brings me more joy than I can possibly tell you. The ease with which I do it, considering the complexity of it, is something impossible to explain to anyone who has not found their soul purpose. That is not a 'sole' purpose, but truly, the purpose of the soul. And to feel so in tune with it AND help others at the same time - that is more than I could ever ask for.
