There is a gap in the care journey that too few people talk about. The hospital says a person is ready to leave, but home is not quite ready for them. Stairs, cooking, getting washed and dressed, all still a struggle. The result can be a setback, or a return to hospital, that a little more time might have prevented.

That gap is why we have introduced Recovery Stays at Jubilee House.

A Recovery Stay gives someone a clear departure date from day one, dedicated physiotherapy, 24-hour nursing reassurance and chef-prepared meals, all under one transparent fee. Somewhere comfortable to rebuild strength and confidence before going home for good.

For families, and for the discharge teams supporting them, it is a calm and reliable bridge between hospital and home.

Into the gardens today once the rain had stopped!

Our Happy Gardeners Club were very busy - deadheading the hanging baskets, pulling up the last of the summer plants and trimming back the lavender.

Sadly, our onions didn’t thrive in the heat this year, but we’ll try again next spring!

A lovely, cool afternoon in the garden - productive, satisfying and a great way to spend time together 🩷✂️🌱🧅
