This weekend, I returned as a helper on the Restore Scar Therapy Emma Holly Caesarean Scar Specialist course led by Amy ( ).

It was two days spent in a room full of inspiring women with an eclectic mix of experience. Not only did I get to support their learning in the Restore techniques, but I also had the chance to refresh my own skills, experience the techniques myself (it’s always valuable to feel what your clients feel), and gain fresh perspectives from a different tutor (Amy was the class support on my original course ☺️).

A weekend well spent 🤓 My cup is full! 🧡

A post I was planning to share in June, but felt right to move it forward to this heatwave!

Make sure you have the right protection for your scar during the hot weather and when on holiday. A high SPF and covering with clothing and/or silicone.

My recommended scar items for hot weather are the Scarban C-section Recovery Kit silicone and Alhydran SPF30. You can buy both from me either in-person or delivered to your house (DM to order).

As Caesarean Awareness Month comes to a close, this is what it REALLY means to me 💕

IT STANDS FOR every woman who has experienced a caesarean birth whether elective, planned or emergency, without informed and consistent support before, during and postnatally.

For all the women I meet as clients or at events, who feel lost and alone while trying to navigate the postnatal landscape while looking after their newborn(s).

I don’t claim that I can fix the system, but I can support you with individualised, tailored support for you and your scar so it is one less thing to navigate on your own.

This is one of the questions I get asked the most - Am I too late to start?

NO! It is never too late to start engaging with your scar.

Whether you gave birth recently or years ago, c-section scar massage has so many benefits. It can improve mobility, soften tight pinned-in scars, which can often help to reduce an overhang, reduce restrictive movement and improve sensitivity and feeling in the area, plus more.

I see many clients who had a c-section 5, 10, 15 and even 20+ years ago, that have finally found softness in their scars and relief from symptoms such as tight hips or painful lower backs after treatments.

✨BEFORE + AFTER ✨

My lovely client had experienced a pin hole infection from around 6 weeks postpartum to the centre of her scar, which required antibiotics. Once the infection had cleared the area of previous infection was pinned in and causing a small shelf above the scar. We used a mixture of hands on techniques and Lymphatouch negative pressure technology to get movement and softness into the scar (to unpin the scar), and the client continued massage and hydration at home. And look at the results! 🙌🏻
