When moving into or out of any asana, begin the breathing first and then begin to move. This sycronise's intention between movement and breathing and it maximizes the support that breathing extends to movement.
The most important benefit of this technique, however, is the effect it can have on our mind. You must practice it to understand how important it is. You will see that it is almost impossible to maintain the continuous mental focus required to ensure that the movement is always contained within breathing.
The nature of this technique ensures that it will not become mechanical. On the days when you are able to focus your mind well, you will see that there is considerably greater quietness and calm in your mind following your asana practice.

Sundays Yin yoga sessions 6:30pm - 7:30pm .
Slow, mindful stretching does more than ease tight muscles—it also soothes the mind.
When you move intentionally and breathe deeply, your focus naturally shifts inward, helping quiet the constant stream of thoughts that often cause stress.
Each stretch becomes a small pause, a moment to reconnect with your body and release tension stored both physically and mentally. This is why stretching is often woven into meditation and yoga—it encourages presence, awareness, and calm.

The rhythmic combination of movement and breath activates your body’s relaxation response, lowering stress hormones and slowing the heart rate.
In turn it also creates a grounded feeling of peace and balance that lasts long after your stretching session ends.
Over time, these mindful pauses can improve focus, emotional resilience, and even sleep quality by giving your nervous system regular opportunities to reset.

Stretching can easily become a daily ritual for mental clarity. Whether you take a few minutes in the morning or unwind before bed, those gentle movements and deep breaths can help center your thoughts and ease emotional strain.
It’s a simple yet powerful way to calm your mind while caring for your body at the same time.
