A packed day at Weavers Court today! 🌞🎨

This morning was filled with creativity as residents enjoyed crafts, painting and stencilling, producing some wonderful artwork. We also managed to squeeze in a lovely walk in the sunshine, taking time to admire the beautiful flowers in bloom around the grounds. 🌺🌼

After returning, it was time for a lively game of bingo, with lots of laughter and friendly competition. Congratulations to Joan and Marjorie, who were our lucky bingo winners today! 🎉🏆

Today we say goodbye to Ruby, who has been with us this week on placement from Leeds City College.
Ruby has been a pleasure to work with and we hope she comes back to visit.

Our Lifestyle Manager, Sarah Jackson

Sarah has worked in care for almost 30 years, specialising mainly in dementia care. She is passionate about delivering person-centred care and believes a “whole home” approach is key to supporting people in later life and creating a happy, fulfilling environment.

Sarah has been the Lifestyle Manager at Weavers Court for the past 18 months and describes it as one of the most rewarding roles of her career, helping residents enjoy meaningful and enriching experiences every day. ❤️

Another lovely day at Weavers Court! ☕❤️

Our weekly coffee morning was filled with plenty of chatter, laughter and delicious refreshments as residents came together to catch up with friends.

This afternoon, Oona from Moov joined us for a fun and energising seated exercise session, helping everyone stay active while having a great time.

We then welcomed some very special visitors, Dizzy 🐶 and Jodie from Pets As Therapy. There were lots of cuddles, smiles and wagging tails as residents enjoyed spending time with their furry friend. Pets always bring so much joy to our home, and today’s visit was no exception! 🐾😊💕

Laura came to Weavers Court in November 2023.

Laura enjoys working as part of a caring team that shares the goal of providing the best possible care.
Laura said working in a care home has helped her develop patience, empathy, communication skills, and resilience.

Our busy day continued with a visit from Little Movers and the children from The Barn Nursery. It was all monkey business today! 🐵😄

There were lots of smiles, laughter, singing and movement as the generations came together for a fun-filled session. These visits are always a highlight and bring so much joy to everyone involved.
Congratulations to Audrey on being chosen as ‘Start of the Week’❤️

Jillian had a lovely trip out to Non-go by Farm with her family. They had a lovely lunch out and even took some photos for us 🥰

This evening, we held our monthly pop-up restaurant, with an Asian-inspired theme. 🍜🥢

Residents enjoyed a delicious menu made by our marvellous HeadChef Dan, featuring flavours from across Asia, creating a wonderful dining experience and the chance to try something a little different. A fantastic end to another busy and enjoyable day at Weavers Court! ✨

This morning, some of our residents enjoyed attending the service at St John’s Church. It was a lovely opportunity for reflection, singing familiar hymns, and spending time with friends in the local community. ⛪❤️

Before lunch Dorothy enjoyed a little pampering with a relaxing hand spa and nail paint in bed. 💅✨ She was absolutely delighted with the result and couldn’t stop smiling!

We were also joined by Calub, who gave some of our residents a sensory and calming holistic foot massage 🦶

A wonderful morning filled with friendship, comfort, and special moments. 😊

Our Assistant General Manager,
Kimberley Fisher.

Kim started at Weavers Court in May 2023.
She enjoys working here because it has given her the opportunity to grow and develop her career. She started as a Night Manager and progressed to Assistant General Manager through hard work and dedication.
Kim takes pride in supporting both residents and staff, making a positive difference each day, and being part of a team that has trusted and valued her throughout her journey.

What a busy and enjoyable day at Weavers Court! 🌸✨

This morning, residents got creative with flower arranging, carefully selecting and arranging beautiful blooms to make lovely vases for our dining tables.
There was lots of chatting, laughter and admiration for everyone’s floral masterpieces. 💐🌼

This afternoon, we were delighted to welcome Deborah for Musical Moments. 🎶❤️ The room was filled with music, singing and plenty of smiles as residents joined in with favourite songs, shared memories and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of entertainment.

It’s always amazing to see how music brings people together and brightens everyone’s day. A lovely day full of creativity, friendship and fun! 🌷🎵😊✨

Our Care Home Manager, Sarah Kunica.

Sarah has worked at Weavers Court since December 2024.

Sarah has worked in the care sector for over 25 years, beginning her career at the age of 16. With extensive experience across a variety of care settings, she progressed to the role of Operations Manager before choosing to pursue a more personal and hands-on career path as a Care Home Manager, where she can make a direct difference to the lives of residents and their families.
