We’re pleased to share that Faye will be attending the Dementia Friendly Leeds Event 2026 💛

The event brings together over 40 dementia-friendly stalls, free dementia-friendly lead bags for the first attendees, taster sessions, performances and helpful talks, all focused on supporting people living with dementia, their families and the wider Leeds community.

We’re looking for a Care Companion to support a Client in Walton, Wakefield 💛

This is a companionship role with no personal care involved. You’ll be helping our Client enjoy time out and about, from walks and coffee shops to hair and nail appointments.

Our Client is well-educated, well-travelled, and enjoys good conversation, so we’re looking for someone who is articulate, friendly, and interested in topics such as politics and travel.

Hours: 9 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday
Occasional weekend work may be needed, depending on the Client’s needs.

Pay: £14.40 to £15.00 per hour
Mileage: 35p per mile

You must have a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Sometimes it’s the little moments that mean the most 💛

Here’s Tahira, our Registered Manager, receiving a lovely box of chocolates from one of our Clients, wishing her well before she heads off on holiday.

It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely reminder of the relationships built through care. At Right at Home Leeds East, it’s not just about visits and care plans, it’s about trust, kindness and the connections made along the way.

Some moments remind us exactly why care matters 💛

Yesterday, one of our new Clients shared a beautiful compliment with one of our Carers. She held her hand and said:

“I feel really safe with you, and we are going to make a great team. I am really grateful for all the little things that you do.”

It brought a tear to our Carer’s eye.

Because in care, the little things are never really little. A reassuring presence, a kind word, a familiar routine and taking the time to understand someone can make all the difference.

We’re so proud of our team for the compassion they show every day.

We’re hiring a Morning Carer to join our Right at Home Leeds East team 💛

This is a 20-hour-per-week role, working 5 days per week between 7am and 2pm, supporting Clients across LS8, LS9, LS15, and LS25.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and 2 years’ experience in dementia care.

You’ll also need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Pay: £14.40 to £15.00 per hour
Mileage: 35p per mile
