I can’t believe this day is finally here. Friday 8th May 2026. The day I start my yoga 200 YTT in Bali. I’ve wanted to do this for many years but haven’t had the courage, having taken a sabbatical from work, it felt like the best possible moment. I wanted to do this for myself and to take my practice further. To understand more deeply about the mind and body connection, and I’m so excited to be immersed in the middle of Bali, in nature for the next 3 weeks.

I first got into yoga back in 2017 when recommended a local class in Huddersfield to me. I wanted to try something that could help a back injury (from lifting too much weight in the gym). What started as rehab for my back turned into a regular practice and a safe space. A space I would come to, to carve out time for myself.

Yoga has been there for me when I needed stillness, when I’ve struggled mentally, it’s been there through the days we were locked down in Covid and needed something to make us feel sane.

I’ve met some friends for life through yoga - , and being my OG’s. I carry those memories in my heart 🫶🏼

Here’s to the next chapter of my yoga journey - I’m going to embrace it arms wide and open.

Namaste 🫶🏼

Caramel and Chocolate Chip Smoothie Bowl ✨

This could be easily substituted for a dessert but I’d definitely recommend as a breakfast addition…maybe more in the summer months but hey we do things different over here.

Ingredients:
2 frozen bananas
4 medjool dates
3 tbsp of cashew butter
1 tbsp of tahini
Handful of cacao nibs

Step 1: Combine all ingredients (except cacao nibs) in a nutri bullet or alternative high speed blender. Blend until smooth and creamy

Step 2: Add the cacao nibs and briefly blend or mix through once the smoothie is creamy.

Step 3: Spoon mixture into a and top with your favourite toppings. We added additional cacao nibs, sliced banana, crunchy peanut butter, and macadamia nuts.

C O F F E E ☕️

Coffee is among the most consumed — and controversial — beverages in the world. While coffee should be treated with care and avoided altogether by those who metabolize it poorly, it also provides health benefits to many people.

Coming in 2nd place, Coffee is the second most consumed beverage on the planet, coming behind water and just pipping tea in 3rd place.

Did you also know that coffee also outshines dark chocolate and green tea in the antioxidant department?

Whilst there have been many studies looking into coffee, the benefits and potential risks ultimately it comes down to each individual.

Low to moderate doses of caffeine (50–300 mg) may cause increased alertness, energy, and ability to concentrate, while higher doses may have negative effects such as anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, and increased heart rate.
