Just a little heads-up that I’ll be taking a short break from 17th–23rd August to recharge and spend some time away from the clinics!

I’ll be back treating patients from Monday 24th August.

If you’re having regular acupuncture treatments, please make sure you book your appointments before and after my break to help keep your treatment plan on track.

✨ Exciting news! ✨

I’m so pleased to share that I’m now qualified in IV Infusions and Intramuscular Injections! 🎉

This reel takes you behind the scenes of my training in beautiful Macclesfield. It wasn’t all work though! If you’ve watched until the end, you’ll have spotted the gorgeous place we stayed and our favourite restaurant that we make a point of visiting every time we’re there. It’s become a bit of a tradition! ❤️

I’m incredibly passionate about bringing safe, evidence-informed treatments to my clinic, and I can’t wait to introduce these new services. There are some exciting things in the pipeline, so... watch this space! 👀

As part of the training, I also experienced an IV infusion and a B12 injection myself, and over the last couple of days I’ve been feeling fantastic. It was great to experience the treatment from a client’s perspective too.

One of the most positive changes I’ve noticed in my clinic over the last few months has been seeing more couples coming through the door together for fertility support.

When I first started practising, it was much more common for only one partner—usually the woman—to seek treatment. More recently, however, I’m seeing more couples taking a shared approach to their fertility journey, and I absolutely love it.

Trying to conceive can be an emotional rollercoaster. There can be hope, disappointment, uncertainty, resilience and everything in between. Seeing couples support one another through those highs and lows is something I really value.

For heterosexual couples, male factors contribute to around 50% of infertility cases, either on their own or alongside female factors. Yet it’s still often the woman who carries the majority of investigations and treatment.

I love seeing more couples taking an active role together—both investing in their health, asking questions, seeking answers and supporting each other throughout the journey.

Fertility acupuncture isn’t just for women.

For women, treatment may be used to support menstrual health, ovulation, hormone balance, reproductive wellbeing, IVF preparation and pregnancy support.

For men, treatment may be used to support overall reproductive health, s***m health, stress management and general wellbeing as part of their fertility journey.

A little clinic update...

I’ve been a little quieter on social media recently because I’ve been busy working behind the scenes on my website, clinic content and patient resources.

As part of that process, I’ve taken some time to reflect on the areas of health I support most often in clinic and the work I’m most passionate about.

While I continue to help people with a wide range of health concerns, much of my work now centres around:

“Kirsty is an expert in the game. Couldn’t recommend enough. Struggled with sciatica in my lower back and leg, tried many different exercises etc and nothing helped. I went to see Kirsty for acupuncture and after 2 sessions had completely gone.”

Sciatica is one of the conditions I commonly treat in clinic, and it’s actually something I’ve experienced myself. Mine started after swinging a kettlebell and, if you’ve ever had sciatica, you’ll know it’s no joke. One swing and a bit of a twist is all it took! The pain can affect everything from walking and sitting to sleeping comfortably.

Because I’ve been through it myself, I understand just how frustrating and debilitating it can be. That’s why helping patients get back to doing the things they love without pain is so rewarding.

When treating sciatica, I will often use electroacupuncture. This approach can help reduce pain, ease muscle tension and encourage the body’s natural healing processes.

I’m incredibly grateful when patients take the time to leave reviews. Not only do they support my small business, but they also help others who may be struggling with similar symptoms feel more confident about seeking treatment.
