Outlaw 70.3 Race Debrief🏊🏼♀️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️➡️
Swim🏊🏼♀️ 1.5k - 27:02
(shortened by 400m due to low temp): Massive room for improvement here, had loads left in the tank but couldn’t find any flow with weaving around other swimmers. Kicked, punched- a game of survival. However dive start and googles stayed on, a win is a win.
Bike🚴🏼♀️ 90k - 2h 55
My goal here was to get as close to 3 hours as possible. Couldn’t and still can’t believe I went sub 3!!! Shaved off 30 mins since my first 70.3 back in September 25 and managed to hold 30.4 km/h!
Run🏃🏼♀️➡️21.1k - 2h 01
Tough gig, legs felt so good for the first 10k, wanted a negative split and sub 2h here but just couldn’t quite hold on. However I’m not mad- this time still came in 20 minutes quicker than Weymouth 8 months ago with the same elevation.
Overall my goal was sub 6.
Weymouth 2025 I came in at 5h 58 with no swim. I said to my coach, would it be delusional if I aimed to beat that time at outlaw with the swim. Of course, said let’s go for it😎
I knew this would be tight- no room for error, head down & stick to the plan.
I came in at 5h 37 and 22nd in my AG🤝🏼
Next up: Ironman Copenhagen
T - 12 weeks.
