Random cr*p you might not know (and probs don't even care) about me...šŸŽ€

My fashion aesthetic is if an anime character took shrooms.

I luuuuurve the Horror genre. Books, films, TV shows. But not the gory horror, oh no. I like sophisticated, slow burn horror vibes that has commentary on the darker expeiences of being human.

I don't take life too seriously, and as a result my classes are not that serious but also quite deep because let's be honest being a functional person in this world is hard work. Do you know what I mean?

I get on best with those that have an open mind.

I'm quite an impulsive person, which can be both a blessing and a curse. YOLO innit.

I think one of the best things in life is sharing a life with a furry friend.

I have about 203847474 crafting projects on the go. It's super healing to create and I don't think I will ever stop.

I love a chat about toileting habits, honestly is there anything more humbling than poo chats?

If any of those things resonated, let's be friends babes šŸ˜‚šŸ’•šŸ’€

Oh and also, I'm quite emoji illetrate. I don't understand what half of them mean, did I miss something? Is there a guide babes?

I often worry that I feel too deeply.

I let myself experience things fully. I don't shy away from my emotions, I let them move through me. I feel them in my body, in my bones.

Sometimes I wonder if life would be easier if I swept everything under the carpet and simply ignored it. But then I remember how much I would miss. How much of life I would never truly experience?

To all the deep feelers out there!!! Isn't it beautiful that we allow ourselves to fully feel this life?

To remember that it’s not embarrassing to have these feelings, isn’t that just the whole point in life?

That we're willing to go there…to experience joy, grief, love, and longing on such a visceral level.

I’m starting to believe that it's one of the most beautiful ways to be alive.

Last night I went to go see Fatboy Slim live in Thetford Forest and it was one of the highlights of 2026 (possibly even my life?!?!).

Just to give you some context - I had no idea about the level of performance that he offers! And wasn't aware of the immersive, high energy and electrifying live shows he puts on. But bloody hell! In awe of this man's talent.

He gave a casual request at the begining to try and not use phones as much to enjoy the moment and it was so refreshing to see so many moments without a phone in sight.

If you are a fan of hip-shaking, old skool dance music, please go see him live! He is hands down the best artist I've ever had the pleasure of seeing live. Did not want to stop dancing even after the 2.5 house set!

Sometimes, it takes my breath way when I think about how kind all of you are who come to my classes.

I pour my heart and soul into teaching well-rounded classes that reflect the full range of practices that Yoga had to offer, and it makes me so happy that they land with such kind hearts.
Ā
I often want to give you all a big hug and say you are very much appreciated. All the kind messages, gifts, smiles and warmth you offer during my classes/events/retreats never goes unnoticed!

I’m so lucky to be able to do something meaningful with this little life of mine and I have all of you to thank for it.

Here I am going into my 9thĀ year of teaching (has it really been that long?!) and I can’t actually believe that some of you have been with me since my very first classes!

You are my peopleĀ ā¤ļø

Today I shared this poem in my online class:

Ducks In A Row

I do hope your ducks aren’t in a row.Ā
I pray your eggs aren’t all in the same basketĀ
and I definitely don’t wish your shipĀ
to be tightly run.Ā
Life happens in the space betweenĀ
perfect and free, you see.Ā
And joy cannot slip through cracksĀ
if there are none,Ā
nor can love grow wildly in a gardenĀ
that’s paved without a w**d in sight.Ā
Growth needs a mix of batteringĀ
rain and pure, unfiltered sunlight.Ā
Messy is holy.Ā
And free is the prize.Ā
Breathe out that stifled sigh and lie,Ā
hand on your beating chest.Ā
You came here to rise and rest,Ā
amidst the eggs in many baskets.Ā
And ducks waddling as they please.Ā Cares all flowing wildly, as they must,Ā
into the breeze.’

by Donna AshworthĀ

šŸŒ Today we explored the concept of Equanimity in our online class. It’s one of the Buddhist principles and teachings of cultivating a steady, calm mind + heart that makes space for life’s ups + downs.Ā

šŸŒ It’s about building the capacity to appreciate the joyful moments and stay present through the more challenging ones because nothing lasts forever.Ā

šŸŒ And that’s Equanimity means to me, believing in the impermanence of all things and in the constancy of change.

šŸŒ Nothing is ever the same - and that’s what makes life beautiful.

I love sharing more about my Meditation practice. More to come!Ā

How cute is this poem though?! I hope your ducks aren’t in a row babes!!!

(Above a scene from my garden yesterday, practicing Yoga in the sunshine, reading my book and painting my nails šŸ’…).

I’m a bit of a meditation nerd šŸ¤“
I spend a lot of time listening to meditation lectures and teachings (I know, pretty wild!), and I came across this from Thich Naht Hahn. If you have studied Meditation or Buddhism, there is a good chance that you have come across his teachings.Ā

ā€œSo many people live their daily life, but are not truly alive- they are always running.

Not able to dwell in the present moment
or touch the wonders of life available here and now.

When you sit, doing nothing,
allow yourself to be comfortable.
Allow your body to relax.
Give up the struggle.

Sitting is an art -
the art of resting.

Many of us have lost the capacity to rest.
We know the body has the power to heal itself,
but we don’t give it the chance.

We work our bodies too hard
and don’t know how to let them rest.

If we allow the body to rest,
it knows how to heal.

Animals in the wild, when wounded,
find a quiet place and lie down for many days.

There is a wisdom in that.

But we have lost that wisdom.
We over-worry and don’t trust our bodies.

And therefore - to learn how to allow our bodies to rest is very important.

An important tool in learning how to heal ourselvesā€

✨ No wonder I’ve been drawn to Restorative Yoga all my life.Ā

✨ Restorative Yoga is a gentle end to the hustle + struggle, and making time for healing our bodies and minds.

✨ What beautiful words from one of my favourite meditation teacher.

If you are coming to classes in the next few months, I'll be sharing more of my learnings from my studies šŸ¤“

Hi lovely peeps,

A special online class is shaped around a rare lunar event:

The Blue Moon, when two full moons fall within the same month.

We’ll move through Moon Salutations (Chandra Namaskar). A slow flowing sequence to salute the gorgeous šŸŒ

Alongside this, we’ll explore the concept of Equinimity, known in Buddhism as one of the four boundless states.

Equanimity is the practice of staying steady and balanced during life's up and downs, highs and lows. It’s a way of being present without being pulled off centre.

It's one of theĀ concepts I was drawn to in my Meditation teacher-training at the British School of Meditation (BSoM).Ā

When:
Sunday 3rd MayĀ
10:30am

What to Expect:
Gentle Moon Salutations (ChnadraĀ Namaskar)
Lunar-themed Pranayama
Buddhist themed meditation to endĀ

Book through link in bio. Free for online member!
