Demand for our appointments is extremely high – Last week 3-7 August we had a staggering number of patients who did not attend their booked appointment:

22 missed GP appointments
12 missed Nurse/HCA appointments

A missed GP appointment (referred to as a "Did Not Attend" or DNA) costs the NHS an average of £30 to £40.

We do send out reminder texts and more recently have been calling patients to check they can still attend.

If you don’t need your appointment please contact us to cancel it as soon as possible – other patients need that appointment - You can do this quickly and easily through the NHS App or by calling the surgery.

The surgery will not be holding the sit and wait blood clinic on the following date:

As an alternative you can you can now book blood tests online for our Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) - it's quick and easy!
The centres are at Seacroft Hospital, James Reed House in Beeston, and Armley Moor Health Centre.

If you have been referred for a blood test, book online at www.leedsth.nhs.uk/book-a-blood-test

If you are unable to use a mobile phone or computer to book online, same-day appointments are still available at these centres, but you may have to wait longer, so please pre-book online if possible. You can also book online for a relative or friend if they need help.

Due to Staff Sickness we have a limited amount of GP appointments available today. This means that you may be signposted to alternative services.

You can continue to submit medical requests via our website but please remember that your local pharmacy is available to give help and advice for minor ailments https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy/, and NHS 111 https://111.nhs.uk/is available 24 hours a day, by phone and online.

If your problem is of a life threatening nature please dial 999 or attend A and E.

If you're aged 17 or 18 or starting university or eligible residential further education this autumn, you may be eligible for the MenB vaccine.

✅ Two doses are essential for protection.

National GP Patient Survey 2026 - We have our results!

The GP Patient survey is an independent survey run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. The results show how people feel about their GP practice.
📌90% find the reception and administrative team at this GP practice helpful
📌93% say the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment
📌92% knew what the next step would be after contacting their GP Practice
📌90% say the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment
📌82 % say the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at considering their mental wellbeing during their last general practice appointment
📌96% had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to during their last general practice appointment
📌93% were involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment during their last general practice appointment
📌82% describe their overall experience of this GP practice as good
