🚨Hiring - Education & Training Manager🚨
Company: Lambda Medical
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Contract Type: Rolling 3-month contract
Salary: Dependent on experience
Reports to: Operations Manager
About the Role
Lambda Medical is seeking a motivated, commercially minded and target-driven Education & Training Manager to lead and develop our education and training provision.
This is a hands-on role suited to an individual who is confident working independently, managing their own workload and taking responsibility for achieving agreed goals and targets.
A key focus of the position will be to develop and grow Lambda Medical’s grassroots first aid training business, building relationships, identifying new opportunities and increasing the delivery of our core first aid qualifications.
Alongside this, the successful candidate will deliver our basic suite of first aid courses and oversee the administration and coordination of our advanced pre-hospital care qualifications.
The Education & Training Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the continued development of Lambda Medical’s training division.
Key Responsibilities
* Take the lead in developing and growing Lambda Medical’s grassroots first aid training business.
* Identify and pursue opportunities to increase course bookings, training activity and revenue.
* Work towards agreed operational, commercial and training targets.
* Build and maintain relationships with businesses, organisations, community groups and other potential training clients.
* Promote Lambda Medical’s training services and help develop new business opportunities.
* Plan, coordinate and deliver the company’s basic suite of first aid qualifications.
* Ensure training is delivered professionally and consistently to the required standards.
* Oversee the administration and coordination of Lambda Medical’s advanced pre-hospital suite of qualifications.
* Support course scheduling, candidate communications, documentation, certification and associated training administration.
* Maintain accurate training and candidate records.
* Ensure courses and associated documentation meet relevant awarding organisation and quality-assurance requirements.
* Monitor training activity and provide regular updates on performance, bookings, opportunities and targets.
* Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop the training provision and identify opportunities for future growth.
* Take ownership of day-to-day priorities and manage workload effectively with minimal supervision.
* Represent Lambda Medical professionally when working with learners, clients, instructors and partner organisations.
About You
We are looking for someone who is goal and target driven, organised and comfortable taking ownership of their area of responsibility.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can balance the commercial development of the training business with the practical requirements of delivering courses and overseeing training administration.
You should be confident communicating with a wide range of people and capable of developing positive relationships with both individual learners and organisational clients.
Essential Requirements
* FREC 4 qualification or higher, or an appropriate equivalent/higher pre-hospital qualification.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to self-manage and work effectively with minimal supervision.
* A goal-orientated and target-driven approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence delivering training to groups of learners.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate administrative records.
* Professional, reliable and proactive approach to work.
Desirable Requirements
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent teaching/training qualification.
* Previous experience delivering first aid or pre-hospital care qualifications.
* Experience within an education, training, healthcare or pre-hospital environment.
* Experience developing training business, generating course bookings or working towards commercial targets.
* Knowledge of awarding organisation requirements and training quality assurance.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is desirable rather than essential and may be provided by Lambda Medical for the right candidate.
What We Offer
* Full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.
* Rolling 3-month contract.
* Salary dependent on experience.
* Opportunity to take ownership of and develop a growing area of the Lambda Medical business.
* Scope to build and shape our grassroots first aid training provision.
* Support with obtaining the Level 3 Award in Education and Training for the right candidate.
* A varied role combining training delivery, education management and business development.
The Person We’re Looking For
This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys having responsibility for their own area of the business rather than waiting to be given individual tasks.
We are looking for an individual who can set priorities, work towards measurable goals, generate opportunities and turn those opportunities into training activity while maintaining high standards of education and administration.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to take the lead in growing Lambda Medical’s education and training provision while remaining actively involved in delivering high-quality first aid and pre-hospital education.
