🚨 New Assessment Hub Launches 27th April 2026 🚨Getting the Right Appointment, First Time.
From Monday 27th April, we’re introducing a new way to request GP appointments to help us better manage increasing demand and improve your experience.
We’ve listened to your feedback about long phone queues, waiting outside the practice, and the difficulty in booking appointments that suit you. This new system is designed with you in mind.
💻 What’s changing?
All GP appointment requests will now go through our online system, PATCHS, available from 8am, Monday to Friday. You can access it via the NHS App, your smartphone, or computer.
📞 No internet? No problem
Our reception team can still help submit your request over the phone.
👩⚕️ What happens next?
A clinician-led team will review every request and guide you to the most appropriate care – whether that’s a GP appointment, another healthcare professional, advice, or a different service.

• Priority given to those with the greatest clinical need
• Faster, more appropriate responses
• No more morning phone queues or waiting at reception
• Easy online access from 8am
• Ability to submit requests for someone you care for
• More choice for routine appointment times
Once reviewed, we’ll contact you with next steps – this may be a call, message, questionnaire, or a booking link.
Our reception team will still book appointments with nurses and healthcare assistants as usual.
We’re making these changes to ensure we continue to deliver safe, effective care and improve access for our community.
