Over the last few weeks, it has been a busy and enjoyable time here at Meadowbrook, with plenty of activities and outings for our residents to enjoy.

Our residents got creative with some biscuit and bun decorating. We also enjoyed a lovely trip to the Garden Centre, where everyone relaxed over coffee and cake and spent time browsing the surroundings.

We also ventured out onto the high street to try a new coffee shop. Residents enjoyed chatting together around the table while enjoying their drinks and the friendly atmosphere.

We were delighted to welcome Alan back to entertain us with his singing. Residents thoroughly enjoyed joining in, singing along, and even getting up to dance.

We also celebrated a resident's birthday.

Back at Meadowbrook, residents have been keeping active with exercises and engaged with a variety of games, including bingo, dominoes, and card games, which always bring out plenty of friendly competition and fun.

🌸 Lots going on at Meadowbrook last week! 🌸

We had another fun-filled week with plenty of activities, laughter and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

🧶 We enjoyed our Knit & Natter group in the garden, making the most of the lovely surroundings and each other’s company.

🎲 There were plenty of games throughout the week, including Bingo, Play Your Cards Right and Dominoes — with lots of friendly competition along the way!

💪 Ben came along for our weekly armchair exercises, keeping everyone moving and active, followed by an afternoon of Karaoke. 🎤

🛍️ One of our lovely residents requested a shopping trip with lunch, and of course, we were delighted to make it happen! It was a wonderful day out and a great opportunity to enjoy some time in the community.

🎶 To finish the week off perfectly, Lisa entertained us with a fantastic 60s & 70s show! There was plenty of singing and dancing, and it was wonderful to see everyone joining in and having such a great time. 💃🕺

What a wonderful few weeks we've had at Meadowbrook!

We've been keeping busy with lots of fun activities and outings, including a trip to the farm where we got up close and personal with some of the animals, and a visit to the garden centre for coffee and cake.

Balloon tennis proved to be a favourite amongst many of our residents, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter, and everyone enjoyed getting creative with some beautiful flower arranging.

We were delighted to welcome Carole from Cats Pyjamas once again, who put on another fantastic show, and our residents have been keeping active with their weekly exercise sessions with Jodie, plus an extra session with Ben.

A very special congratulations also goes to our lovely resident, Marguerite, and her husband, Bryan, who recently celebrated an incredible 70 years of marriage. What a wonderful milestone – we're so honoured to have shared in your celebrations.

What a truly special day yesterday was. ❤️

Our lovely resident, Margaret, made it her mission to knit beautiful little hats for the premature babies at St James Hospital. Yesterday, we had the privilege of hand-delivering them to the Neonatal Unit.

These tiny hats will not only help keep precious little babies warm but also bring comfort to their families during such a challenging time.

We are so proud of Margaret and grateful to have such a caring and compassionate resident in our home. 💕🧶👶

Well, what a day Saturday was for our Summer Party! We really brought the Circus to Meadowbrook.

On behalf of myself Sam (Activities and Day Care Coordinator) and all the team. We would like to say a massive thank you to our residents, families, friends, staff, and everyone who helped make the day that extra bit special.

A special thank you to Andy, who swapped his maintenance duties for the bar, and made sure everyone's glasses were filled with delicious circus cocktails.
Tanya and Julie cooked us a marvellous selection of circus-themed food and treats,
Lauren wowed us with her candy floss skills, and my very own Mum took charge of the tombola for the afternoon.

Thank you also to Mark and Andy for providing such fantastic entertainment – Chanel and Fizz were fabulous and brought smiles to everyone's faces.

It was a real hoot on Friday! 🦉✨

✨ Lots has been happening at Meadowbrook this past week! ✨

We've had another wonderful week full of fun, and fantastic activities.

💪 We enjoyed our weekly exercise session with Jodie, keeping us active.
🍽️ We ventured to Wetherspoons for a lovely lunch out together.
🍫 We celebrated World Chocolate Day with our very own delicious chocolate fountain – a real treat!
🌼 We enjoyed a relaxing trip to the garden centre, enjoying treats in the Cafe.
💅The residents enjoyed having their nails painted.
🎪 We practised our circus skills in preparation for our Summer Party – watch this space!

Preparations are starting for our Summer Party this Saturday. We cant wait to see you all there 😀
