The Leeds Community Stoma Care Service within CUCS have created a podcast series aimed at supporting and educating patients, carers and staff. Covering a range of topics around stoma care, the podcasts provide accessible information and practical advice in this specialist area. There are many effects of hot weather which include:
Dehydration
Heat cramps
Heat rash
Dizziness or fainting
Heat exhaustion
Heart attacks
Heatstroke
Increased risk of lung illnesses and other diseases.
