Calling all knitters! During the Covid-19 pandemic our Mortuary team were providing pairs of knitted hearts to bring some comfort to bereaved families.

One heart is given to the patient and the other heart is taken by their family or loved one, this lovely gesture is still being offered to bereaved families.

We are close to running out of the hearts that were previously donated, so we are asking the keen knitters amongst you for your help to get knitting! Please send your pairs of hearts to:

It is with sadness that we say farewell to our brother in law Martin Amys.
Martin was a loving husband of Lilian and Dad to John. He will be a greatly missed Grandad.
The Funeral service will take place at Armley cemetery, Friday 25th at 10am.

With so many personal, family and friends' funeral services to attend recently, the positive side being that we can all now look at how to celebrate the unique lives of our loved ones. This plan may have changed since the pandemic. Indeed, those who weren't planning on a get together after the service may now want to celebrate and vice versa.
Everyone is different and my best friend was dispersed over Filey Brigg, followed by amusement arcade then fish and chips and ice creams.
