We don’t see all patients that come to us -
Not because there’s anything wrong with the person in front of us. Because Clarity is a specific thing, and it suits some situations and not others.

So, plainly, when it’s the wrong choice:

**When something is acute or urgent.** That’s your GP today, or A&E. Not a pathway that takes six to eight weeks.

**When you want a supplement list by Friday.** Clarity is slow on purpose. If slow doesn’t suit where you are right now, better to know that before you pay for it.

**When you’ve had a thorough workup recently and have one specific question.** A single appointment answers that properly and costs a fraction of the pathway.

And when it is the right choice: a long story, several symptoms that don’t seem connected, and tests that keep coming back normal.

If you’re not sure which of those you are, that’s what the free call is for. Sarah will tell you if the answer

02/09/2026

Even when the small ones add up to more.

The £40 supplement.
The private blood test you ordered yourself.
The appointment last spring that didn’t lead anywhere.
The next thing you read about at 11pm.

None of those felt like spending money on your health. They felt like Tuesday. So nobody adds them up, and most women are surprised when they do.

That is the odd thing about how we judge cost. Twenty small payments over three years barely register. One payment, once, feels enormous. The total can be the same. The feeling is completely different.

The difference is what you have at the end.

Twenty small payments leave you with a cupboard of half-finished bottles and no answer.

Clarity is the version where you pay once and get four and a half hours of clinical time.

90 minutes telling your whole story to someone whose job is to listen to all of it.
60 minutes with your doctor looking at the bigger picture.
60 minutes on food, digestion and how those link to how you feel.
Testing, only where it answers a question we still have. Always optional, always discussed first.
60 minutes where your doctor explains what is going on and what to do next.

You leave with your health timeline in one place and a plan in plain words.

Then you decide whether to carry on. Plenty of people don’t, and that is a good outcome too.

Full details and costs are on the website. Or book a free discovery call and we’ll talk it through first. Link in bio.

Most of a discovery call is not about what is wrong with you.

Sarah listens to the whole story, then asks the question people find hardest. What do you want your health to look like?

Symptoms come out easily. That one usually takes a minute. So she keeps going until you get there, because it is what everything after the call gets measured against.

By the end you will know whether we are the right team for what you are carrying. Sometimes we are not, and we will tell you.

What her gut needed was to get moving, and that starts with simple food rather than a protocol. Warm, cooked, easy to break down. Nothing clever.

Then five things, and only one of them came from a supplement shop. Two kiwi a day. Vitamin C, partly for the gut lining and partly because a year of a narrowed food list had left her absorbing very little iron. A mineral to help things move, chosen on form and dose rather than brand. Something acidic before meals.

Slide 4 is the one to save. Slide 5 matters more.

Rooty is one person with one history and one set of results. This is not medical advice, and what suited her may not suit you. Speak to your own doctor before you start anything.

Simple first, always.

One small continuity note. Vitamin C and iron absorption is a nice callback to the ferritin and B12 line on part two’s blood panel, so the three posts now hang together properly. Worth keeping that thread if there’s a part four.

Rooty’s first step was not a supplement. It was sitting down to eat.

Once we understood what could be driving it, we did the part that matters most. We decided together where to start.

Five things could have been behind her widening food list. Only one felt like the right place to begin, and for Rooty that was her nervous system.

You cannot digest in a hurry. Standing at the counter, eating at a desk, halfway through a message, and the body files the meal as low priority.

So she changed four small things and we took a set of bloods to see where she was starting from. Slides 4 and 5 are the ones to save.

None of it was dramatic. That is rather the point. The first step is usually the cheapest one.

Part three will be what the bloods came back with.

Meet Rooty. Her safe food list is down to nine things, and everyone keeps calling that progress.

It started with gluten. Then dairy. Then onions. Then raw food. Each cut worked, for about a fortnight.

Here is what gets missed. A shrinking food list is not a treatment. It is a measurement. It tells you the reaction is spreading, not that the food is getting worse.

We cut anyway, because cutting is free, fast and entirely in your control. Finding the cause is slow, and you cannot watch it happen.

Slides 4 and 5 are the ones to save. The first is what we usually find underneath a widening list. The second is what we check before we change anyone’s diet.

Name the cause and the list grows back. Food goes on it, not off it.

Loved being part of the Q&A with the Biohacking Menopause community today.

Such a good reminder that community can be part of healing — learning, sharing experiences and realising we don’t have to figure everything out alone.

A few themes from today:

✨ Digestion — it’s not just what we eat, but how well we digest and absorb it.

✨ Stress + the gut — what is our nervous system doing to our digestion?

✨ Gut + autoimmunity — when we’re dealing with an autoimmune condition, it’s worth asking what might be happening in the gut and what could be contributing to immune activation.

Sometimes the most useful “biohack” is simply getting curious about why.

Thank you for having me. 💛

Making energy damages the machinery that makes it. That happens every second you are awake.

Sleep is when the repairs happen. Broken mitochondria cleared out, new ones built, protective systems restocked.

New research suggests the pressure to sleep may start in the mitochondria themselves. As damage builds through the day, they call for the night shift.

Which flips it. You do not sleep because you are tired. You are tired because your cells need repairing.

A kitchen does not close because it ran out of ingredients. It closes because it needs cleaning.

**Caption**

Your body treats digestion as optional spending.

Under stress it diverts blood away from the gut, reduces secretions, and slows the stomach down. The meal still gets eaten. It just does not get fully processed.

Which matters because nutrients arrive locked up. Iron is bound into the food. B12 is attached to protein. Both need stomach acid to be released before absorption can begin.

And before the acid, there is chewing. In one trial, chewed whole almonds released around nine percent of their fat. Ground into butter, ninety four percent became available. Same food, same amount.

So you may not be failing to eat well. You may be failing to extract what you already eat.

Three things that cost nothing. Sit down. Chew properly. Stop eating while working.

If you take acid reducing medication, that is a conversation with your prescriber rather than something to change on your own.

Tomorrow may be the day after !? : when food is not the answer.

18/08/2026

Your mitochondria need around 21 nutrients to make energy.

Most people pick one, buy it in a bottle, and wait.

But they work as a chain. B vitamins run the cycle. Magnesium is bound to nearly every molecule of ATP you make. Carnitine carries fat in, and without it fat cannot be burned at all.

Fill one gap in twenty one and you have a chain with twenty holes in it.

The food list is in the slides. The striking thing is how ordinary it looks. Eggs. Sardines. Greens. Pumpkin seeds. Olive oil.

Nothing exotic. Nothing expensive. Which is either reassuring or slightly annoying, depending on what you spent on supplements this year.

Save it. Tomorrow: eating it is not the same as absorbing it.
