🎓 Heading to university this autumn? Don't forget your MenB vaccination.

Starting university is an exciting time, but living, studying and socialising with lots of new people can increase the risk of meningococcal disease.

The MenB vaccine helps protect against meningococcal B disease, which can lead to meningitis and sepsis.

💉 Eligible young people can now receive their FREE NHS MenB vaccination at our pharmacy.

You may be eligible if you:
✅ Are in the eligible Year 13 age group
✅ Are starting university this autumn and are eligible under the NHS programme
✅ Are entering eligible further education with residential accommodation

💧 Keep drinking water throughout the day
🕶️ Stay in the shade during the hottest hours (11am–3pm)
🧴 Wear sunscreen and lightweight clothing
🏠 Keep your home as cool as possible
👵 Check on older relatives, neighbours and anyone who may need extra support
💊 Store medicines correctly and ask us if you're unsure whether heat could affect them

With temperatures rising across England, it’s important to stay safe, hydrated and look after those more vulnerable during the hot weather.

💧 Drink plenty of fluids
🧴 Wear sunscreen and light clothing
🏠 Keep cool indoors where possible
👵 Check in on elderly relatives, neighbours and vulnerable people
💊 Be mindful that some medicines can be affected by heat
