🏖️ Summer Party with the Sidney Shakers 🏖️

What a wonderful day we had at our annual summer party! Our residents had a fantastic time enjoying the sunshine and joining in the fun alongside the little ones from Sidney Shakers 💛

Our gardens were filled with laughter, music and plenty of activities, including sand and water play stations, ball games, singing, playing percussion instruments and lots of parachute fun! 🪇🎶🏖️⚽

After all that fun, everyone enjoyed some refreshing fruit juice, delicious cupcakes and tasty fruit kebabs 🍓🧁🍉🍍

It was a lovely opportunity for our residents and the children to spend time together out in the sunshine and create some wonderful summer memories. 🌸☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our summer party such a happy and memorable occasion. 💕

🩷 Something for Everyone! 💙

Our residents have a wonderful variety of activities to choose from, with plenty of opportunities to stay active, have fun, socialise and enjoy the outdoors.

Here they are enjoying a friendly game of volleyball 🏐 taking part in fun balloon games 🎈getting competitive over a game of Dominoes and Rummikub 🃏 and enjoying peaceful garden walks🌿

Other activities include: baking 🧁gardening 🌷arts and crafts 🎨 pottery making🏺yoga 🧘‍♀️quizzes 🤔 singing 🎶 archery 🏹 basketball 🏀 carpet bowls 🎳 bingo 🔢 toddler play sessions 🪇 afternoon teas 🍰 visiting the horses 🐎 entertainment 🎭 exercise classes and so much more, there’s always something happening!

We love seeing our residents enjoying activities that suit their interests and abilities, making each day a little different and, most importantly, filled with smiles, laughter and companionship 🤗

☀️ Anyone for Boules in the Sun ☀️

Today, our residents made the most of the lovely weather with a friendly game of boules in the garden! 🌿☀️

There was plenty of laughter, a little healthy competition, and lots of cheering as everyone enjoyed spending time together outdoors.

Activities like these are a wonderful way to keep active, encourage social connections, and create happy memories.

🚤 The Narrow Boat Trip of Dreams 🚤

What a truly memorable day we had on our narrowboat adventure! 🚤💙

A huge thank you to Stewart the Skipper and the wonderful crew from the Baldwin Trust, who were incredible with our residents throughout the day.

They helped everyone safely on and off the boat, shared fascinating information about the boat and the beautiful scenery, and made sure everyone felt included and cared for.

A special congratulations to Chloe, Sarah, Madupe and Lianne, who each had the opportunity to take the helm and steer the boat using the tiller! They did an amazing job navigating the waterways and were delighted to receive certificates at the end of the trip. Even a heavy shower couldn’t dampen our spirits!

Our residents enjoyed a delicious picnic, prepared by our fabulous chefs as the boat made a smooth journey along the canal, enjoying the sights of nature along the way.

It was such a special outing to share with friends, with lots of smiles and memories made.

🚤 A Day out on a Narrow Boat 🚤

There’s nothing quite like a day spent making memories together. 💙

This morning, some of our lovely residents have headed off on a relaxing narrow boat trip with the Baldwin Trust.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, take in the beautiful scenery, and spend quality time together.

They’re in great hands with our fantastic team – Activities Assistant Chloe, our Head of Care Sarah, and one of our amazing carers, Modupe – who are helping make the day as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

We can’t wait to catch up with everyone when they return and hear all about their favourite moments, the laughs they shared, and what they loved most about their adventure. Keep an eye out for our update later! 🚤🌞💙

🍰 Afternoon Tea Social ☕️

What a wonderful surprise for our residents on Friday afternoon! ☕🍰

Jayne, our lovely Activities Coordinator, and Barry, our wonderful Resident Ambassador, arranged a delightful surprise cream tea for everyone to enjoy.

Jayne used our vintage tea set and cake stands to bring a nostalgic feel to the event.

Residents tucked into a delicious selection of cream cakes while choosing from cappuccinos, lattes, or a variety of different teas.

It was the perfect opportunity to relax, chat with friends, and enjoy a few special treats together.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and happy conversations, making it a truly lovely afternoon.

A big thank you to Jayne and Barry for organising such a thoughtful event and creating another memorable experience for our residents. 💕

🏹 Seated Archery 🏹

Our residents had a fantastic time with a seated archery session led by our lovely Chloe! 🏹

Our residents enjoy a variety of sporting activities every week. Our activities team have made all of our sporting activities accessible and inclusive to ensure everyone can join in.

As usual there were plenty of smiles at this session, along with laughter and friendly competition as everyone tested their aim and enjoyed practicing a new skill in a fun and accessible way.

It was another great opportunity to build on confidence, encourage further participation, and, most importantly, have lots of fun together.

A big thank you to Chloe for delivering such an enjoyable activity—we’re already looking forward to the next sports related session. Will is be volleyball, basketball, golf, curling, bowling, French boules, racket games, ball games or target games!!!? 😊

🎈Seated Volleyball 🎈

Our residents had a fantastic time taking part in a lively game of seated volleyball! There was plenty of enthusiasm, laughter and encouragement as everyone got involved and cheered each other on. 🙌

It was wonderful to see our residents enjoying the benefits of being active together, building confidence, encouraging friendships and creating those special moments of connection.

Whether playing, cheering from the sidelines or simply enjoying the atmosphere, everyone had the opportunity to be involved and have fun. 🎈

Thank you Jayne for another brilliant activity that our residents really look forward to. So many smiles, lots of teamwork and positive energy! 🌟
