Stoneygate Resident of the month is awarded to Sarah.
Sarah has worked really hard and has been speaking to staff a lot more when she is struggling. This is massive for Sarah and she is very proud of herself.

it was time for the residents to get their own back on the management team.
We asked the residents a series of questions and they had to chuck a wet sponge at who they thought fitted the question the most.
Let’s just say they had more fun than expected. 🤣🧽

What a beautiful day for a very special lady🩷
We lost Angela in January she lived at stoneygate Road for 20 years.
The residents have been asking for a garden for Angela somewhere they can go to see her.
So we did an Angela’s day, we had her favourite, ham and cheese baguettes with walkers cheese and onion crisp.
The residents all got involved with the garden, listening to her favourite songs.
It’s lovely to see her garden shine as bright as she did🩷

"My dad has settled in lovely and is sleeping so well. The food's great too! The staff here have been amazing, so kind and helpful, not only to my dad but to me. I feel so happy to know my dad is being very well taken care of. Dad has already made friends with lots of the residents. Mentally, he continues to improve. Management is a credit to the home. She has gone above and beyond and makes sure my dad is happy"

We also held a women’s wellbeing session at Stoneygate Road hosted by home manager Jenna.
We don’t have many women at Stoneygate Road so it was a much smaller group.
The residents state the most important thing is that we are always there for each other 🩷
We discussed different things we could do as a group to improve on our own wellbeing and shared ideas of what already works for us and what makes us feel happy.
We come up with some great ideas of what we would like future sessions to look like such as a pampering session, group walk, picnic and loads more.
They are already looking forward to the next one in a month’s time.

Today we had a men’s wellbeing hub hosted by support worker Jovita.
The residents learnt a lot about each other, they not only discussed their own coping strategies, but how they can support each other overall and make everyone feel included.
They all really enjoyed the session and have decided they would now like to meet up on a monthly basis.
Thank you Jovita for hosting such a meaningful session. 👏.
